Very pleasant room in pub /hotel in centre of town with fast wifi and all amenities. Cooked breakfast also included -although quite a short time for breakfast - between 8.30 and 10 on a Saturday. But breakfast was fine.

All the staff where polite and helpful, it just probably my over sights that I didn’t know this is a pub and a busy one, it was 1 in the morning with music playing that I emailed the pub to ask when things would quiet down and my young child couldn’t sleep. Very basic room, screw on the floor, cracks in the walls, dirty toilet and bath.

The room was clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good, not a huge selection but enough choice to accommodate most people. The Oakland is in a very convenient location. Saturday night they have a live band which can be noisy if you want the windows open. The bar was busy and the atmosphere friendly the band when we stayed was very good. The joining walls in room are thin, we could here the tv and hairdryer from next door.
