A beautiful conversion in an idyllic spot on the edge of the village.
Lovely views from the back across the orchard and rolling countryside.
The interior is tastefully furnished and very comfortable.
There are plenty of kitchen utensils so you could cook if you wanted too, although I ate out mostly - there are lots of lovely places to try. I would have liked a squeegee for the shower, but that's personal preference. I like to dry the shower after use.
The location is excellent for discovering the north Cotswolds and venturing further afield.
A useful welcome pack was waiting for me; a nice change from chocolate (which I can't eat) and flowers, which you can only enjoy for the duration of your stay. Some practical choices that were appreciated.
My dog loved it and thoroughly enjoyed the garden, but if you do take your dog, just be warned that guests park to the side of the property which is on view from the garden and if you have a dog that barks, he/she will, whenever someone goes to their vehicle, so I had to bring Ellis in whenever that happened.
Stay Cotswold, were, in my opinion, very helpful, especially when I requested to stay an extra day. I was surprised that their offices weren't open at the weekend in August, but having sent an email, I received a prompt reply even though they weren't officially at work. I didn't have any of the problems that reviewers have highlighted elsewhere and would book through them again.
Overall, a wonderful short break in a beautiful spot in a stunning cottage.
