“It's a fine place for an overnight stay if you have a long layover, or short term stay. My room was pretty small. Short walk to the ocean. I didn't like the dining options, but if you like beach food, there's plenty.”

“Spotlessly clean hotel, attentive staff nothing is a problem. Room fine, A/C and ceiling fan , TV which you can access Prime and Netflix if you have an account. Wet room shower with plenty of hot water, some rooms have balconies, so check when booking.Complimentary breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent. Hotel located on the beach, beach is worked by the local fishermen upto about 11:00 most days, very little hassle from beach hawker’s. Four or five restaurants within easy walking, loads……

“The Deshadan Cliff & Beach Resort was as promised with all amenities including free wifi, parking and swimming pool. The rates were slightly on the higher side owing to the holidayyum season but still not exorbitant for the amenities offered. Location was perfect and at walking distance from the beach and cliff. The rooms were clean and spacious enough with private washroom and all essential toiletries provided. Air conditioning too was fine as was the television with required channels……

Bathroom with walk in shower looked like it was newly renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, with freshly made omelets. “Having travelled around India for 5 weeks it was refreshing to find a hotel where we weren’t pestering for reviews every 5 minutes! Maybe that’s because they don’t need to as they already know that their staff are all friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean, nice food and pool. And all this just a short stroll to all the amenities of North Cliff. We were there when the monsoon started and as we had a late flight they allowed us to use our room until late……

“A nice break from a very busy Varkala. Best if you have transportation. The natural setting is calm, and it's worth exploring the beach across the waterway, accessible via kayak or 2km walk.”
