“We were in town visiting family, and stayed here for a few nights. I went in with low expectations considering the affordable nightly price, but was thrilled with everything! Staff was very friendly. The lobby and our room were immaculately clean (and I am very picky with hotels, as we travel a lot). Breakfast was excellent, and they checked with us multiple times if anything needed to be refilled. The pool is great, but the hot tub probably needs to be refinished at some point. “I was very disappointed with our stay. The hotel looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia, which was very misleading. Our room key only worked about half the time, causing constant issues when trying to get into our room. We had three women staying in the room, so we needed extra towels, shampoo, and conditioner. When we requested more, we were told we needed to bring the empty shampoo and conditioner bottles to the front desk before receiving replacements. I have never been asked to do that……

“Staff was super helpful no matter what time of day. Our room key kept glitching out on the second night and the gentleman that helped us was attentive both times we had to get the keys reprogrammed. Breakfast was incredible, they had standard quick options as well as different hot items each morning. From waffles, pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy to fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, and cereal. Staff was constantly seen cleaning, checking in with guests, and always looked to have a smile on their……

The disappointment was that although we were told breakfast was available starting at 6:30 am, there was nothing other than overnight coffee available at 7 am. Using the phone for contact in the common area meant the phone rang multiple times without anyone answering it.”

“My book club (all 50) rented Grandpa's Pool House and had a ball. We did all things 70s and the house was a great fit for our tator tot hotdish meals, shrinky dink crafts and Sloe Gin Fizz drinks. We had a couple hiccups with our stay, and the host and property manager responded immediately and made everything right. ”

“View of the lake and access to lake is to die for!!! Ongoing construction by owner in basement has caused me to rate this property as list than desirable. Glossy first impression was instantly a huge let down as I tried to access the laundry in the basement. I have shared my disappointment with the owner at the end of my stay. In the future this could be a perfect get away but as of right now much needs to be improved and the owner now knows what those improvements are needed.”
