Spacious Lakeside Retreat with Stunning Views and Excellent Facilities
We had a wonderful stay in this delightful cottage overlooking the lake, with passing wildlife, plenty of sunshine, and beautiful views. Both balcony bedrooms shared the same outlook, making the mornings especially memorable.
The house is very comfortable for up to 7 guests, with a large open-plan living area featuring a balcony, log fire, TV, big kitchen table, and a well-equipped kitchen. There was ample seating throughout, though the sofas didn’t quite accommodate all 7 at once.
Onsite facilities were excellent, including a great restaurant, spa, swimming pools, tennis courts, water sports, and children’s activities. Offsite, there are scenic walks along the Thames Path and easy access to pubs and sightseeing, with Cirencester close by for Roman remains, museums, shopping, and dining.
Communication with the booking team was very good—comprehensive, if at times a little overwhelming due to the volume of information. We had no major issues during our stay and only reported a few very minor points to the helpful onsite maintenance team.
Overall, a spacious, well-located property that makes for a relaxing and activity-filled break.
