“Guildford is a quiet small town. My stay is to visit relatives and was about a week in the same hotel. It is situated near edge of the city centre with an easy walk to reach. On the first day of my arrival, it was about midnight. The greeting staff who was in full of hospitality arranged the staying process. We expressed that due to the late arrival and no dinner at all, the staff immediately oet a pizza for us although the chef has already gone off. Throughout the week, we experienced a……

“We have stayed here before and will return. Restaurant & bar are good, staff are great, and our daughter loves the grounds & facilities. Sure the building is looking a little tired but everything else outweighs that, for us. ”

“A lovely hotel, nicely situated for exploring the area. The hotel and grounds were amazing with some lovely walks in close proximity. Room was very clean, with very comfortable beds. Found all the staff that we came into contact with to be friendly and chatty. Both breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Despite being very busy the hotel was not noisy, so had a good nights sleep every night. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. Have not added any pictures as the ones on the hotel website……

“Good for the price. Very higgledy piggledy inside - tortuous route to the room (single room 6 at the top). Very pleased to have a bath in room, and air con too! Room was fine with no problems. Peacocks around site are very loud! Breakfast disappointing cinsidering high price (£15). No service as such and food was lukewarm from buffet. Also no teapots, only cups available. Should be better breakfast!”

“First impressions, as you drive through a housing estate were not good, however, both rooms we had booked were very clean and had all we needed for a stop off to the airport. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've used in a while. I have paid double and had dirty rooms in Birmingham, Cambridge, Chester,York and London . Quite hotel all night even though it was full.”

“We stay here very regularly and really can fault it, always clean and presentable, pretty comfortable and the staff are lovely. Breakfast is good and nothing too much trouble. Right next to Arundel Station and 10minute walk to the centre of town.”

“Nice clean hotel, but bedrooms very dated. Window held together with worn out cello tape. OK in the summer but I imagine cold in the winter. Shower head would not stay up and cubicle old and rusty. Plug sockets loose and TV aerial socket fell out. ”

“Room is ok, breakfast is great, unfortunately after I had breakfast water supply stopped in the hotel. Maintenance work is understandable, but should remind guests beforehand so they can be better prepared.”
