“Excellent hotel and food in very rural hamlet on mountain road. Food is preordered for the evening if having meal . Beware hotel is on a mountain road with very very narrow width just width of car with blind corners and drops. Make sure come up from Lochinver not the other end or else you wish you hadnt if meet the motor caravans with no where to pull over. You be lucky to get out of 2nd gear. Dont attempt to drive this road if not a confident driver or novice. Be warned !! Barriers appear to……

“Although the room was quite small, it was beautifully decorated and had everything needed for a short stay. A continental style breakfast is served on a tray in your room. There was.more than enough provided ,- tea, coffee, toast, croissants,yoghurts, fruit, orange juice. Would recommend the Foinaven.”

“Parking was cash only but luckily had that on us but finding the parking was difficult due to construction. Then the small hike to the hostel from the temporary parking was a bit much with bags and over a fence. Service was nice, beds were not very comfortable ”

“Very nice high spec hotel. Rooms have everything you could need. Hotel has a drying room which is handy on a wet day. Great view of the bay. Staff very nice and helpful. Negatives: very limited food menu, nothing for vegans. Seems very overpriced compared to similar hotels in the highlands. ”

“What an unusual experience to stay in such a remote place. Our greatest pleasures were sitting on the outside bench watching life go by and all the remote walks we took. Plus…. the amazing piano! I played each morning to my heart’s content. Such a unique experience for a traveler to have music be part of their journey. Thank you Daisy. I’d love to meet you one day. Judith and Stephen”

Abgerundet wird diese sehr positive Erfahrung durch den ausgesprochen freundlichen Umgang mit den Vermietern der Ferienwohnung, die für Rückfragen oder Tipps für Ausflugsziele gerne zur Verfügung standen! Sollten wir nochmal in diese Gegend Schottlands reisen, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder!”
