"The resort is unique and historical as well as beautiful. I loved that we did not have to valet parking or pay for parking. Room was comfortable and large with a great front seat view of one of the golf courses. The bar had great food and the staff was wonderful. We had lunch at the restaurant off the golf course and the food was also very good. I wish they were open later so we could have had dinner there! We enjoyed both golf courses. We hope to return there next year."

"Very spacious, clean and updated house. Plenty of room to relax both indoors and out. Baths and sinks were a bit confusing until we figured out that the hot was on the right and cold on the left. "

"Upon entering the property, it was very apparent that the place was old and fairly run down. This is not the staff's fault. They do what they can. In the room, the toilet was clogged - PRIOR to using it. A staff member came by and took care of it. The furniture in the room was well-worn (to be kind). The a/c worked. There was a side security door to the outside that was open 24/7 - so no need to use one's card to get into the building. The outside was littered with all types of stuff. Luckily I was able to park right in front of the room - area was quite - safe for the night. This is a place to crash (and hope for no bed bugs - none seen) for one who does not expect anything..and that's fine. It's not the worst of the 100 or so hotel.com stays I've had (there was one in Liverpool that was flooded - bad plumbing). They need to reconsider having this place on their site until it is grossly improved. So, if you need a crash pad that is very conveniently located to US27 and the turnpike - go for it. Just a very wide berth of "acceptable"."

"The house was exactly as pictured. The hosts were super accommodating and responsive before and during our stay. We appreciated the amenities (snack basket, robes, beach towels, cooking extras, coffee supplies, hot tub, water activities, etc). The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. In February the lake activity was limited so it was perfect for enjoying the screened in porch and backyard views. Backing a boat into the driveway was a learning curve due to the decline/grade of the driveway but by day two we knew how to do it without issues. Thanks for a great getaway!"
