Our stay was wonderful. The check in was fast and front desk clerk was very friendly. They even brought us extra towels immediately upon our arrival without us asking. It was a very nice room and quite peaceful.

Don't Judge the book by it's cover.

We pulled up to this obviously older hotel and were getting pangs of regret. The front desk is littered with post-its and random notes under the glass top. I was met at the door by a happy little dog and my wife began rolling her eyes. A casual front desk atmosphere was clear. Walking past the pool to our room, I noticed it was clean and the water was clear. I did not get the chance to sample it. We climbed the wooden stairs with 2x4 railings to our second floor room while making a mental note to lock the car. After a minor hiccup getting our key card to work, we settled into our room. It was clean. I kicked off my shoes with abandon and perused the available TV channels on the flat screen TV. I found there to be ample furniture, but not a crowded room I got comfortable on the couch as my wife sampled the bed. Nothing was ample, but satisfactorily accommodating. The bed was very comfortable, no stains on any bedding. Outlets were few, but enough to get our tablets and phones charged. The shower was nice and hot, while the controls were traditional and precise. There was enough soap and shampoo for the visit and surprisingly, acceptable to my wife. (she's sensitive to scents) If you're not expecting the Waldorf, Budget Lodge is a good low cost place to flop. Surprisingly clean and comfortable at the lower cost range. Don't judge the book by it's cover.

the bed wasnt comfortable, the lights would flicker and flash when turned on. i am photosensitive. the water wasnt very warm in the shower. room was small. fridge/freezer was still dirty. noises all around. had to place a chair under the door handle to feel safe.
