Excellent guesthouse, centrally located in Cobh, excellent freshly cooked breakfast provided and a very helpful local host. We will definitely be back!
Peter was an excellent host, and the views from the harbor-facing rooms were absolutely gorgeous. We really enjoyed our time in Cobh. Thoroughly recommend the coffee shop near Supervalu in the middle of town.
The view is amazing. Our host suggested walking along the harbor en route to dinner and made a great recommendation of a restaurant. Breakfast offered was delicious.
Pete and Finn were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond and helped us with travel plans and gave wonderful ideas of what to do in the area. I was looking for charming Irish countryside accommodations and this did not disappoint.
Peter and Fin were very sweet and welcoming, they immediately responded to any questions and also provided recommendations for the area. Loved the stay and environment was very family friendly and felt homey
This was the best bed and breakfast we've ever been to and we've stayed in lots of them. Peter and his wife were amazing hosts! And the breakfast was the best one we had on our 8 day trip thru Ireland.. don't hesitate just book this one!
Very nice home with a awesome view of the port, the hosts were very accommodating and had some very good recommendations! Especially for places to eat in the nearby Kinsale. Fisherman's catch was delicious.
Cosy place with a lovely atmosphere. Very nice hosts who gave us wonderful suggestions to make the most of our (too) short stay in Cork. Peter even managed to book us a table at a fully booked restaurant!
Lovely property! Peter and family are welcoming and warm. Junior the dog became our best friend in 2 nights. Cobh and the surrounding area are truly a wonderful place to be so just do it!
Nice location. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Bathrooms have been upgraded but needed a good cleaning of floors and walls I think. Had a nice view of the harbour. Host was very good and helpful.
Everything about the Lynwood House was wonderful! The room was beautiful, with a sitting area and a brand new on suite bathroom. There was a kettle for tea, a hair dryer, and a television. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views from the room are unmatched. Peter was so warm and welcoming, providing a bit of history and directing us to the best places in the town. We'd be glad to return on a future trip!
If you enjoy a relaxing, homely ambiance Lynwood House is perfect. You will have a warm welcome, great advice about the locality and a lovely room in a Victorian House. Our room had a sea view with a settee facing the view. Perfect for watching the maritime traffic.
Thank you Peter and Finn for your warm welcome and great hospitality.
Perfect location. 10 minute walk into town. It’s an older property with nice views of the water.
Breakfast was nice with croissants and coffee or tea. The host Peter is very welcoming and is knowledgeable on things to do in the area.
Rooms are a bit cold but it is October and the weather was cold windy and rainy while we were there. I would recommend a stay.

If you don’t like dogs this is not the place for you as their huge dog was always around - even whilst we were having breakfast.
These premises are a recent purchase by the couple and are a ‘work in progress’ project.
There is no cooked breakfast option but the continental is ok and the fresh home baked soda bread was delicious !
My friend and I stayed in two rooms. Peter is a great host, full of helpful information and really friendly. The rooms were amazing and the beds were extremely comfortable. Each room having an ensuite is a bonus and doesn’t take away from the spaciousness of the room. There is also an elevator for guests with mobility issues, which is a huge bonus in guesthouses, especially if that age. If you’re a dog lover, the family dog is also a lovable gentle giant. We highly recommend this guesthouse.
The owners, Peter and Finn, were extremely hospitable and genuine. Peter was quick to respond to all of my messages and went above and beyond in assisting my daughter and I with our late check in.
Although the property is in transition and missing a few details, it's still quite satisfactory.
We would definitely stay again! Beautiful home and accommodations!
P.S. Junior the dog is a keeper!

It's a former military quarters slowly being converted into a rooming house. A work in progress. There is no included breakfast at present and it's a km or so to town and cafés, restaurants. There is off street parking, but only for about 5 cars with a bit of Tetris to get in and out. With all 14 rooms booked, parking on the street would be required. Yvonne, who was looking after the place when we stayed, was lovely and helpful with suggestions for where to eat and what to do. She let us keep our beer cold in the kitchen fridge - no in room fridge - and even offered us some leftovers for dinner the night we arrived.

Overall, we feel that our stay was good. The hosts were so helpful, kind and informative. The went above and beyond on service. The hosts were always available and very very helpful. A . The bed and shower in our room was very very good. It seems that they are starting in this Air BnB journey and will have it perfect one day. The common areas would benefit from a little cleaning and tiddying up. We enjory our stay here overall and would recommend it primarily for the host experience.

Stay in lovely Cobh
Friendly hosts. Property is in a lovely position about a 10 minute scenic walk into Cobh. Room was spacious with a lovely bathroom however a few things could have improved it - hook or a towel rail in bathroom, proper bedside tables, stand for suitcases…the room is big enough. The property description did mention a breakfast was offered (we hadn’t chosen this option) & reviews also mentioned breakfast but when I asked about it I was told they didn’t do breakfast. Maybe this needs updating - we went out so not a huge problem.
There is a beautiful garden for guests to use and as the weather was glorious we did make use of it…definitely not all negative, I hope constructive!
