「First time staying here it was fab and well situated for easy access to the lakes just of the A66. Was good value for money with outstanding service and food from Nikki and her small team. The room was small but functional and very clean, Super dog friendly and everything is thought of even a doggie menu. Will be staying again」

「Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.」

「Single occupancy for two nights - small room, but clean, good shower & comfortable bed. Food (smoked salmon & scrambled eggs for breakfast and Cajun chicken salad in the evening) was excellent and portions were generous. Staff friendly and efficient. All for a very reasonable price. Great location to explore Lake Windermere.」

「Nice place to stay. Coffee shop not far away and walkable - very nice. Need a car as narrow lanes to get to and no footpaths. Service at breakfast on the 1st morning was slow but that was due to the young girl serving. Not there when we arrived and waited 10 minutes before she appeared. Left dirty dishes on tables when she could have easily removed when bringing other dishes etc...She was friendly enough. 2nd morning, totally different service. Lady on duty was attentive...
