"This was a lovely property and a beautiful room! The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Roberto was so helpful and kind, and even stayed up to welcome us when we ended up arriving MUCH later in the night than originally planned. Grand Hotel Menaggio

"Grand Hotel Menaggio — Stunning Views and Exceptional Breakfast, but Rooms Need Updating Grand Hotel Menaggio is a beautiful hotel with spectacular lake views and outstanding service. The breakfast was hands down the best of our entire two-week trip through Italy! The variety, quality, presentation, and attentive staff were absolutely exceptional. Unfortunately, the rooms didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was certainly not one of the least expensive options, and expected more for the price. The beds, furniture, and decor felt outdated. Even the bathroom, although seemingly renovated, still had a tired appearance that made the room feel less fresh and inviting. Our balcony offered breathtaking views of Lake Como, which we absolutely loved. However, as beautiful as the scenery was, it didn’t fully compensate for the condition of the room. Overall, the hotel has so much going for it: stunning views, excellent hospitality, and an unforgettable breakfast. With some much-needed room updates, it could be truly exceptional. A lovely experience, but the accommodations need to better reflect the price."

"Clean room with comfortable bed, friendly helpful (and multilingual) staff. The location is perfect if you’re taking the train into the city as the funiculare lets off just steps away. Also very close to restaurants, shopping and the waterfront. Hotel restaurant food was delicious as was the Negroni I had."

"We thought this was a little gem of a hotel, located in the quieter Como Resort of Belano. It was only a 10 min walk from the rail station and 15 min walk to the centre and ferry. Situated in a picturesque location on the lake, with beautiful views from the rooms. The accommodation was decorated to a very high standard, very comfortable bed. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The staff were all very welcoming and we were ver well looked after. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would return."

"This property was exquisite. Modern, roomy, well laid out, comfortable beds, game-room. Kitchen was well stocked and even had some olive oil, coffee, sugar, basic spices - so you didn't need to buy any. We found a few cob-webs but other than that - the place was super clean. Pool was not heated and was VERY cold, but it was mid-October! It was a 40Euro each way to cab to/from Colico, which was more than I had expected. There was a small grocery within walking distance - but best to shop in Colico."

"First of all, the staff at Il Perlo Panorma is exceptional. They were so accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We arrived and had booked the Basic Room. It was ok, but since it was our 20 th anniversary, we asked about upgrading the room. The Junior Suite was available. They handle our room switch while we were away, moved our luggage and the Suite was amazing. We literally didn't want to leave the room. It had a huge balcony with stunning views of Bellagio and the lake, wonderful amenities, smart lighting to make it extra cozy, robes and slippers. It was the best upgrade. For those wanting to know about the shuttle service, they dropped off and picked up regularly and were also so accommodating with fast communication. I would highly suggest staying here. The restaurant was also delicious. Thank you for everything and making our stay so enjoyable."
