“Fantastic hotel really with loads of character set in lovely grounds running down to the river. Small personal homely feel not a bland corporate Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Probably one of the best spa facilities that I haves ever visited the beer spar was a first for me and greatly enjoyed thanks to Macy for the great back and neck massage. Evening meal food was fantastic.”

The staff were very nice and the breakfast was outstanding with a good selection of hot and cold options including full and small English to healthy vegetarian options. We chose The Ship Inn because of its location within walking distance to the beach and the ability to easily get on walking trails. “Third time booking this hotel. Always lovely, clean, warm (radiators are always on before you arrive so the room is lovely and warm to get easy in). A lovely lady from concierge called me today to confirm my booking and ensure we had the details for the contactless check-in (access codes for the front door and key box) as we were due to arrive after she had left. Super friendly and welcoming. Room is lovely and clean, large comfy bed, clean bathroom and shower and even a space for cooking……

“The only little complaint we had was the checking in process. We were told we’d get an email telling us how to check in which we never got. Also there seemed to be a difference between the info on hotels dot com and the places own website. But other than that, the room was lovely, well equipped, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was amazing and spotless. Would definitely recommend ”
