  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. This property was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Tom was quick and efficient when getting back to us regarding property questions. My husband and I are local to Columbus and will definitely be staying here again.

Apartment was beautiful, clean, and in the perfect area for us. We visited columbus to go to Natalies Grandview to see one of our favorite artists, short 5 minute walk to the venue! Listed as a 1 bed and 1 bath, but it was a 2 bed 2 bath. Did not matter for us, just a suprise!

Not as Expected

A friend and I booked this apartment for a 3 day trip. It was not clean, dryer sheets and lint stacked on the floor next to the dryer, toilet obviously not cleaned, dust on light fixtures and fan plus a shard of glass in the carpet. There was debris in the kitchen cabinet and a light above the island had a burned out lightbulb. No sheets for the sofa bed and then when the sheets were delivered they brought us two twin fitted sheets for a full size sofa bed. When I asked for the correct sheets I was told I was asking for something extra. The listing claims there is a "lovely balcony" which in reality is a sliding door with bars across it and two feet of grass. Overall the location was where we wanted to be however this is certainly not a "stunning" apartment.

Not as advertised

I didn't really expect "stunning" and "luxury" and it lived down to my expectations. This unit is in an apartment complex. It is not a "by owner" rental. There's some skeezy short-term rental company that manages it and they have NO attention to detail. The vertical blinds on first floor double patio doors WOULD NOT CLOSE properly, letting anyone outside see into the unit. They said they would "put in a maintenance request" to fix the blinds, but it wasn't taken care of during our three-night stay. This fully furnished apartment was missing coffee cups and there was not a single plate of any kind. After notifying "management," two cups and some plates were left on the doormat while we attended our event. All the furnishings -- which looked NOTHING like the photos -- were cheap build-it-yourself pieces that were liberally scratched. Insides of the drawers were not clean and there were personal items left from a previous renter. And there were two middling bath towels for two adult over three nights. But we could hang them from our luxury command hooks in the bathroom. No lamps for the nightstands. Only overhead lights and no side or coffee tables in the "living" room. I will avoid any unit managed by Home 2 Home rental and I recommend you do the same.
