「Don’t bring a cat - there’s no room to swing it in the bedroom. And the TV was comically small. That being said, it was clean and tidy and the food excellent. Staff also very friendly.」

「I had a very bad experience with this hotel, it’s not a hotel, it’s not 4 star, there isn’t breakfast, no wifi and the owner doesn’t care. The rooms are not actually attached to the bar/restaurant downstairs so upon check in I I had to ask around as I was not given any instructions, where the barman gave me the owners number and I just had to keep calling until she picked up the phone to tell me the code to the lockbox. 「If you are looking for a safe secure location close to all major amenities. This place is ideal very clean and the staff are very friendly indeed, parking right outside so you don't have to walk far to get to your vehicle. Will definitely be booking another stay in the near future.」

「Great place to take a break after a long day’s walk! Staff were so helpful from helping locate usb charger to sourcing a cab and always with a smile. Highly recommend!」

「Room is tidy, breakfast is very nice. Need to enhance the security. Windows without lock, door locks are loose.」

「I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality and spaciousness of my room (10). Staff were friendly and professional; the assistant at breakfast was first rate in supporting a substantial number of guests. And the Craster kippers were excellent. The one thing missing at breakfast was a bowl of fresh fruit. Dinner was well prepared and presented. All in all a very good experience at the Duke of W.」

「Lovely one night stay. The Sunday lunch was delicious, the room was lovely with a huge round bath. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast. I'm sure we'll return. 」

「When I arrived the property was closed and had been for over a year despite my money being taken and messages being sent to me about my stay up to the day before. I had to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. The property should be removed from the Expedia site. Poor management and very inconvenient.」

「Nice clean hotel」

「Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Great, helpful staff. Close to bus station, restaurants, stores, boutiques, and four-FOUR charity shops! :) (Parking is confusing, however. Park in the nearby city lot in a space with WHITE borders-otherwise you may have to pay.)」
