“This is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a quiet location looking out onto a courtyard. Although there is no onsite parking, we had no trouble finding a parking space on the square. Visitors should also be aware that there is no outdoor seating area but we were out and about so this wasn't a problem for us. We would recommend the fish and chip place - but go for small fish and chips! The large are for those with a very large appetite! ……

“Read reviews on this place before and decided to do an overnight for our wedding anniversary. Fantastic quirky place. Each room with horsey theme and named after race horses, very clean witj fluffy towels and robes even curly wirly to have with your coffee. Hair dryer iron and ironing board . Lovely breakfast great choice on menu. All staff attentive and friendly. Lovely anniversay stay, thank you all we will come again ”

“Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Clean and convenient for what we wanted. However, we were staying on the top floor and there was no lift. My husband suffers with his knees and it was a little heavy on them having climbing 4 flights of stairs with luggage. ”

“Good location near town Centre but reasonably quiet at night . Lovely clean single room (Room 5) with plenty of electrical sockets and very comfortable duvet and bed, great breakfast in the morning and friendly staff, what more can I say? “What I love this hotel the most is the breakfast, its by order and put you feel like on vocation (I am on biz trip). The staff was very nice as well. The hotel location is perfect and nearby market place, very easy to walk around this lovely city. The only thing that need to improve is the internet connection, it was that good in my room.”

“The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.”

“Lovely stay at the Fox Hall Inn. Staff were really friendly and helpful, right from check in. The hotel grounds are lovely, with a spacious garden where you can enjoy food and drink with a stunning view of the countryside. Would highly recommend the food, we had homemade steak & Ale pie with chips - absolutely delicious. There is a continental style breakfast hamper provided the next morning based on item choices you pick. All fresh produce and the overnight oats were a delight! Would definitely……
