“Out dated rooms, unclean feel, smelled Like stale cigarettes smoke”

“Our room was on the third floor, which offered an amazing view of the lake - exactly what we were hoping for! You do not want to miss the sunrise in the mornings from the balcony! :) We’ve been to some places where the kitchen has little to offer for appliances and simple meal prep- this place exceeded our expectations and the ice maker in the fridge was appreciated. “We got emails from the property in the days leading up to our stay and were unable to open them, so we were thankful they still had our room when we got there. We asked for a room with a bed and sofa bed - the sofa bed was very comfortable, but they didn't leave appropriate bed clothes for it so we had to improvise a bit. Lovely room. Great kitchen. Great location.”

“Hey there fellow travelers! This place is all about location location location! It is being updated nicely! Website could be more helpful, but know there IS a small fridge, but no microwave. There IS a hairdryer (helpful for most with long hair). Shampoo and body wash, make-up remover packets, Keurig and k-cups provided. No conditioner. All in all, a great home base location for all the top things in the area! Would definitely recommend and stay again!!”

“We really enjoyed our weekend here. Quiet and secluded, but still very close to Grand Marais. A path just outside accesses a whole network of trails, we hiked to Pincushion Mountain. And the SHT connects here as well if you want to go further. The furnishings are simple in a very nice way; a folding table with two folding chairs, an electric kettle and a mini fridge are great for morning coffee or simple meals. The only thing we would have changed would be trading the two twin beds for a single……
