Loved it!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was a dead roach in one room, but other than that everything was really nice. The property management company was really good because the GPS took us about 5 miles down the road and they helped us to navigate back to the correct spot and were really nice. At checkout the dishwasher didn't work but they were completely understanding when we told them we left the washed dishes on the counter.

Its adequate

Communication was good.Washer and dryer not good.Bring your own grill, their's not good but gets the job done.Had to wait till after 5 to check in.We drove to the beach in our truck instead of using the beach walkway, trust me its better to just drive to the beach than carrying your stuff and walk a good distance to the beach.Pool was small. We got a day pool pass to the resort next to us, worth it.Their community rec room was in need of upgrading. It was adequate enough but nothing close to a 5 star.

Great Stay

Very big veranda, but this property was not a pool view as described. I did gave a great view if sunset and Laguna Madre. The rooms were great, excellent room in kitchen living room. Very enjoyable stay. There is beach access. However it is a long walk to the dunes, then climb stairs to cross the dunes. There needs to be some clean up at the trash barrel by the stairs. Looked horrible. The beach is great

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo is in a perfect location and has a easy path to the beach. Close to Corpus for city stuff and close to Port Aransas for more local stuff. The floor needed a good cleaning and it needs a new washer and dryer. If you don’t plan to wash clothes or towels it’s great.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not the best but okay. The master bed is HARD and about a 1/2 foot below the headboard. The couch was more comfortable. The dryer does not dry. Other than that it was close to the beach and that is what we were looking for.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was so clean and nice iinside it was not the picture they sent me that was nexts to us . The outside was not as nice ,but it wasn’t a bad looking place . The walk to the ocean was a ways you could drive and a little space was where you could park you car . It constantly said be aware of snakes, never seen one, but it kept saying that as you would walk down the road to go to the ocean or if he drove. It’s not as close to the ocean as it says so know that you either will driveor it’s a long walk, overall it was a nice place to stay. Glad we had it.

Perfectly Fine Old School Beach House

Plenty of space for everyone (tiny kitchen though) and huge balcony. This isn't a brand new home nor anything fancy, but it does the job as a beach house. The description states and is accurate in mentioning it's 3rd floor with no elevator. It is NOT really walkable to the beach though. I mean, TECHNICALLY, you can walk there, but it takes about 20 minutes through some terrain with snake warnings and then a boardwalk, and you wouldn't want to carry all your stuff. Also, bring a white noise machine if you're sensitive to noise as the traffic from the road gets pretty loud. Communication with host was easy breezy. DO bring your own beach towels! Pool, hot tub, and grill was nice. No major issues, just some minor inconveniences. Overall, worth it for the price we paid!

Could have been better if...

The PROS of staying at this location: -it is a small complex which means it is not overly crowded with other families who are vacationing which makes it nice -the pool, hot tub, and game room were nice features. it would have been nice if the pool was actually cool vs. luke warm -the A/C in the room was fantastic - especially for how hot and humid it is outside -the kitchen was nice and had everything needed for meal time -property mgmt responded timely to text requests CONS: -the front door I stayed in looked like someone tried to break in. It did not look secure at all even with it locked. I had to place my cooler in the doorway to provide a barrier in case someone did try and kick in the door -the flooring was uneven and a safety hazard. Many places where the flooring was not flush and led to tripping hazards -the master bedroom needs a box spring. Very low to the ground. -the room we were in faced the main road. You can hear every semi-truck, truck, car, motorcycle passing by. During the day it is not an issue, but at night when we were trying to sleep led to sleepless nights. I recommend they invest in sound proof doors and windows. -they also need to offer more blankets and pillows. I had to request extra blankets for our room. This should not be an issue for a VRBO stay -the washer and dryer (especially the dryer) do no work. We had tried to dry certain clothes/towels and it did not work. They need to upgrade these appliances

Gem on Mustang Island

Great location with access to the beach. Very nice property with updates. Overall very positive experience and I’m going home refreshed. There is an opportunity for the management agency to improve communication. Exterior construction was scheduled and I had to notify them of the work and damages to the unit (primarily a window).

Birthday Mother's Day Mini Get Away

Everything was great, except the mattress main bedroom was hard and uncomfortable. Also the dryer takes 4 cycles to dry clothes. The boardwalk to the beach was much further away than the picture depicted. However; all and all, it was really nice.

Port A Escapes

This place is a dump. It was not cleaned from the previous stay. Hair in the sink of the hall bathroom. Dirt pile left under the kitchen table. No door shelves on the refrigerator side, except for 2....inconvenient! Dishwasher wobbled it's way out from under the sink. We only wanted to sit the dishes in there to dry. And there is a huge mess of food particles and dirt on the side of the dishwasher....considering it moves out enough to see the trash. The Keurig does not work. And this unit does not face the pool like the pictures make it look like. Overall, will not be back. Total disappointment. I'm glad we brought our own cleaning supplies. Signed, Will not return Update on checkout day. They did replace the Keurig with a new one. They brought a new tower fan to replace the broken one. They apologized for the uncleanness.
