We use to come to this hotel years ago and the appearance of it has gone downhill. All the chairs at the pool were broken. The tile where the elevator buttons were were broken and missing. There was a leak in the hall of our floor.

The biggest plus of staying at the Wyndham Corpus Christi Resort North Padre Island was the convenience. I found the restaurants and the poolside bar to be very convenient. I also loved being able to walk to the beach. Aside from those things, the hotel needs work. There is a lot of the hotel that needs renovations and upgrades. The elevators were too small and there are way too many people in the hotel for the number of elevators there are. The pool area had broken chairs and there weren't enough chairs for everyone. The pool itself was also dangerous, and I saw at least three people slip and fall in there. I don't think I'll be staying here again.

The only thing I didn’t like was that we could hear the people next door talking sneezing coughing and using the microwave… so expensive for a room to hear all that.. and the big trucks in the parking lot took up 2 parking spaces.. this is my 2nd time here.. our first time was excellent!!

Nice beach hotel. Location is perfect. Live music was great. We went on a very busy holiday weekend so the hotel was very busy. The hotel restaurant was excellent as well. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner which is very convenient. Hit and miss with staff. Our room toilet wouldn't flush and when we told the front desk she asked my husband if he wanted a a plunger? Usually the hotelneould send someone but we had to plunge it ourselves. Other than that a great stay.

To be honest this is probably one of the worst resorts I’ve ever been . Multiple bugs including cockroaches inside room and hallways . I don’t understand how this can be called a resort ? It’s just a normal hotel with a swimming pool and a bar at swimming pool area . The swimming pool looks very dirty with algae on concrete . You have to pay for parking .. The only good thing is the location is awesome for walking to the beach .

Location, location, location! The property was beachfront and one of the best locations on north padre island. Other than that, the hotel was very average. The rooms, hallways, and lobby seemed dirty and had a stench. Also, the property was too open to the public. I would like the property to be more secure and private with room key access—I think that made the common areas more dirty and worn. But for the price, it was an acceptable stay.

Enjoyed being right on the beach! The bed was plush and the towels were fluffy and like new! However, the hotel can use a deep-cleaning! The carpet in the hallway needs to be replaced! It was just totally stained and dirty. The entrance could be cleaner and the pavement everywhere should be power-washed. Easy and simple things can be done to improve the overall general appearance. The staff, however, were very friendly and accommodating. Good customer service.

Don’t waste your time or money. We had a reservation for 4pm couldn’t get into our room until after 6pm. This place is DIRTY and DISGUSTING. The staff are rude and unhelpful. Complete waste of time and money.

Probably the worst example of a hotel with “Resort Fees” we’ve ever stayed at. The hotel was in the middle of construction on the exterior, and all ADA ramps were blocked off preventing some of our group from being able to make it to the beach without driving around and onto the beach. At least 1 of the 3 elevators were out of service at any given time, and there was a feeling that the staff was doing this intentionally for some reason. The carpet on the room levels were dirty, stained, and made the entire floor smell musty (when we weren’t getting marajuana smell coming down the hall). When we got to our room, there was a used toilet plunger sitting by the door, to which the staff wanted to argue with us as to why it’s there and played it off until we insisted someone come get it. The room was mostly clean, but the walls weren’t painted after the multiple repairs so it just looked run down. The door to the balcony would only stay closed if the deadbolt wasn’t locked, and the air conditioner would not keep the room cooler than about 75 degrees. We requested maintenance each day, 4 total days, and did not get resolution (Only excuses as to why the ac didn’t work effectively). Another member of our group was charged $25 for pool towels, to which we didn’t even use, with no explanation. Good luck going to sleep before 10pm as the live music downstairs shakes the entire hotel every night. Overall, if you are looking for an overpriced, subpar hotel. You found it here.
