Thanksgiving 2024

It was a very nice and pleasant stay. The house is smaller than we anticipated. We made it work for us. We are considering returning for Christmas.

poorly renovated and dirty

property manager waited an hour to get back to me upon checking in. apparently the door sticks, and the battery powered deadbolt doesnt always work, property manager suggested this, it is a known issue. great.... dead cockroach on the floor of kitchen. dead and alive bugs on walls. boogers on the wall, what i hope was ketchup on the wall. bathtub is clogged takes 30 min to drain, and gross. overall there was just construction glue and paint everywhere, it was a really poor reno job that makes the house just look dirty, and it was actually dirty as well. it appeared as though the house was cleaned a month ago after previous tenants left, and then sat and collected spiderwebs and bugs. backyard looks like it wasnt mowed in atleast a month, perhaps this is why the bugs? we had no intention of using the backyard, but if you did plan on it you would have been upset. we joked about finding the house, turn at the road with the house with boarded up windows, as many were on that street. im from Houston, this was after Beryl, no storms in the gulf except Debby which hit Florida, i dont think the boards were hurricane related, it just is a rough area. i would google maps/street view the area first, we didnt and i regretted it.
