“We had a lovely, short stay at Finca Barlovento. The property is beautiful, the atmosphere is restful and the overall feeling is very private and low-key, with a high level of service. The staff was very conscientious and accommodating. Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Food offerings are good, though somewhat limited, but we were only there for a couple of days so this was not really an issue. “In general the hotel is overpriced and quality doesn’t match the price you pay, specially in high season where prices are considerably more expensive. The day of checkout you are advised to leave the room at 9:00AM the latest. They don’t offer half or full board online and once which is weird because they do have a restaurant and offer a full board package on spot. We paid for the full board with buffet service on spot but it didn’t include drinks nor coffee as they used to do before.……

“Really beautiful secluded spot on the beach with a lovely staff, not to mention cute beach puppies! The beach was the best for swimming we encountered on our road trip, and the bird watching tower looking into the nature reserve was really cool. The bungalow with an outdoor shower was lovely. We were here for only one night, but wish we had been able to stay longer, and hope to be back soon! Quick note about google maps is that it doesn't think you can drive all the way there, but the road does……

“This was the BEST hotel in Baru away from the craziness of Playa Blanca. Great food(natural), friendly staff. Snorkels, paddle board and kayaks were a boon for sure. The dreamcatcher vibe was cool and they had mats, blocks and space to do our yoga.”
