“This was a repeat visit and the cabin was as great as it was before. Perched on a bluff overlooking a bend in the James River, the cozy log cabin provided a wonderful winter retreat for our family of 5 adults. Elizabeth is a great host, the directions were spot-on, and the bedroom are comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts. Thoroughly enjoyed it once again.”

“A perfect getaway to celebrate the holidays! We visited Eagles Rest with my one month shy of 90 year-old mother, and two adult kids. We appreciated the welcoming amenities and meticulously clean and cozy atmosphere! Having two bedrooms on the primary floor was helpful for older guests, and the loft suite was beautifully private! We also enjoyed the location close to Roanoke, and the trailheads connecting to the Appalachian Trail were just minutes drive away! We had a wonderful stay, and it……

“So clean and immaculately decorated. In the middle of nowhere but 3 miles to the closest gas station and kid friendly restaurant bar/grill. Comfortable beds and toys and games for the kids were provided. We also enjoyed the music collection. Would recommend to anyone ”

“The host was very welcoming and made it special by having a few Christmas decorations.The cabin was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. We hiked around the property, it was a beautiful view, saw lots of deer. We did not turn on the TV once.We made it a family weekend with games and the pool table made a fun family competition.The beds were very comfortable and we will definitely be back! ”

“The property was covered in ants small and way over priced for what the house was. Not a very cozy place to stay even kinda creepy. The owner wouldn’t even respond back to having trouble with ants. Very dissatisfied. ”
