「The property is beautiful and very well maintained. The horses are an added bonus of peacefulness making this location unique. Hotels can be beautiful and noisy, this place was like a little slice of heaven. Stay there you won’t be disappointed. John was very good at keeping in touch and seeing if we needed anything. I will definitely stay there again if I am going that way.」

「Absolutely loved this place! So well cared for and decorated. The property with the fire pit and the axe-throwing was a perfect way to end our hike day. Jessie was very quick to answer any questions--we would definitely come back!」

「We had a wonderful weekend stay for our daughter's wedding. The house has been completely renovated with the top-of-the-line furniture and appliances. Every room is exquisitely furnished. We LOVED the fire pit and smores which our hosts graciously supplied. The countryside was quiet and the night-time stars were spectacular. We highly recommend this beautiful home for any stay you have in the area. 」

「Beautiful home. Private, quiet, babbling brook out back. Loved it.」

「The property was very clean and updated. Excellent communication with the owner. He checked to see if we needed anything. Close to hiking trails. Very pleased.」

「Very clean and nice house. A lot bigger than I expected. Wonderful communication and snacks. Thanks Mike」

「What a beautiful property! Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, so we did not get to enjoy as much of the grounds as we would have liked. But we had a very enjoyable stay during Virginia Tech parents weekend. It was an easy trip to and from Blacksburg, and the house offered us a great space to hang out as a family away from the congestion of campus. Bed were all really comfy, beautiful kitchen, cozy sitting areas, and plenty of things to keep us entertained! We will visit again- thank...

「Comfortable house on a country road running through Jefferson National Forest, about 10 minutes from Appalachian Trail, 30 from Roanoke -- like staying in a cabin but with better facilities. Nice patio area with Christmas lights and enclosed structure you can sit under to stay out of rain or sun, next to a rushing steam you can see and hear from inside the cabin. Lots of birds, great for sketching and painting. Don't miss the trail through the woods along the stream. Make sure not to run the...

「It was good place to stay for Parent’s weekend at virginia tech. About 30 minutes from the school. Feels slightly longer due to being in rural area but easy drive. Price was reasonable, beds were very comfortable. It gets very dark, I feel there should be more nightlights and my only issue was the scented detergent or spray on the sheets, we are all allergic to smells so it was a making us sniffy. The cat was so friendly and we realized she came out for attention when she heard someone at the...

「Located in quiet area, clean with necessary appliances. Truly enjoyed our stay. Even got to pet horses and goats that are on the owners property. Would stay again when in area.」

「We came out to visit family over Farmer’s Day weekend, and to celebrate a church 120th anniversary. This home was perfect! Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, and the location made it easy to get into and out of Union!」

「Beautiful property」

「Fantastic place! Admiring the quality of the carpentry is worth the stay alone, but the host also provide you with everything imaginable to enjoy all the features of the property! Highly recommend!」

「Place was nice but very remote and not close to anything.」

「We found it as advertised peaceful, very secluded and totally relaxing」
