“Mount Airy resort is a nice play for a short stay. Its more geared to those who like to gamble or golf though. If you're not interested in either like myself, then theres not much to do besides the pool. The pool is beautiful and has an outdoor part as well for the summer. “My experience at Split rock was good but not great. It was not worth the money my family and I spent to stay for a weekend. There was no house keeping done. There was not enough towels in the room, I ask for towels they said they will bring but never did. Other than hospitality the place was good. The breakfast was terrible, even though it was all you can eat. There was no bread. There was bacon, sausage, not real eggs and burnt potatoes than had no taste. It was terrible. ”

“For almost $250 per night I expected a room that was bigger than a good-sized closet, s bathroom larger than 2’X2’, with more than 1 ply toilet paper, a toilet seat that slid, a teeny bar of cracked soap, thin towels, an overhead light too dim for reading, a reading lamp bolted to the bureau near a hard wooden chair that one would have to be a pretzel to use for reading. In short, unconscionable to charge that much for such primitive accommodations. We bolted and got a room at IHG for $190 that……

“This place should be avoided at all costs. Read the google reviews before booking. We checked out the same night we arrived, it was basically uninhabitable. The room was tiny, there were bugs in the bathroom, the TV didn't work, the bathroom looked like it was from the 1970s, and the security/lighting around the place was sketchy. I would not recommend anyone stay there.”
