"This refurbished cottage is a hidden gem, surrounded by fruit trees on a hillside facing Siena. You’ll need a car — it s about a 5-minute drive on a steep, narrow, winding road to get to the stores by the freeway. The cottage was bigger than we were expecting, with a small but well-equipped kitchen. The host turned on the AC in anticipation of our arrival. "We stayed 4 days and are so glad we stayed here. The area has a restaurant right outside with the best view where they serve lunch and dinner. They also have a bar and a pool. It’s an old castle and yet they keep it clean and pretty restored. Breakfast buffet in the morning was included for us. The bathroom comment from others might be from not understanding how to use it as you have to pump the button several times to flush. The staff was wonderful and helpful. They spoke English and some Spanish."

"Jean-Marc and his staff are incredible. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had an incredible experience. The pool is lovely, with the best views. The wine, the food and the friendly staff made our stay on our honeymoon unforgettable. We had massages which were great and a private romantic dinner with a view (server was Marinella) and she was amazing! All in all we wish we would have stayed longer but will be back. Be sure to either have a rental vehicle to get you there or pre arrange transportation from the train station."

"Our recent trip to this villa was magical. It is genuinely remote and private, up in the hills with great views over the valley, and the sunsets were fantastic every night. The pool was perfect. We went during a hot stretch and being able to cool off with that view was exactly what we needed. Our kids basically lived in it.You are also close to some great little towns. Montisi stood out, an old medieval place that is really charming and worth wandering around. The food in the area is excellent, and the villa’s own olive oil is some of the best we had.The other thing worth mentioning is Luigi. I asked him a ton of questions in the weeks before the trip and he was always quick to respond and gave us great recommendations that shaped our plans. He also set us up with a Tuscan cooking class and arranged a private chef to cook for us at the villa one night, which ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.Highly recommended! Thanks Luigi, we would come back in a heartbeat."
