Comfortable apartment in a quiet picturesque area. Would be challenging for anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs or walking up steep inclines. Was fine for us on a brief stay for two nights. Lamia was very helpful and responded quickly to all communications.

Perfect Location

Beautiful getaway near Montalcino

This apartment is in a charming medieval village just outside Montalcino that brings you back in time. The views are phenomenal. The apartment is very comfortable and with all the amenities! The host Francesco is amazing and helped us with planning some outings while in town. Highly recommend!

Very clean, beautiful apartment

This is a beautiful apartment on the edge of a small town called Castelnuovo dell’Abate. It's not in Montalcino, but a short drive to it. We stayed here because we were visiting a few wineries close by. When staying in a small Tuscan town, it's best to look for a place like this that's right on the edge. You don't want to (and sometimes can't!) drive into the old part of the towns. We were able to park along the street about 100 yards away. The walk was steeply uphill, but not long at all. The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious, very comfortable for 2-3 people. It was well laid out and provided all the amenities we needed. The bed in the main room is ok. The frame is a bit springy and the mattress a bit soft. I like a firm to medium-firm mattress with a lot of support. This one was reasonably comfortable, but not super high end like a hotel. The town itself is peaceful and quiet, but we stayed on a Friday night and there was a party happening down the street. The music was very loud between 11pm-1:30am, which was terrible. But it was probably a one-time thing. The hosts were very apologetic and promised to address the noise complaint with the perpetrators. The hosts were very good to work with.

Absolutely fabulous

Everything was wonderful the Borgo is such a unique experience and truly breathtaking as we have no comparison in the US. Francesco was very helpful with local places to visit.

Nice medieval town

We had a great stay. The weather was amazing and the place was nice as well. The only thing I would say is that the dishes were not cleaned properly and that the kitchen was not equipped well. That’s why the rating is a 4 star. Otherwise it was great!

L’appartement est très propre, très clair et assez grand et offre une belle vue sur la campagne Toscane. La salle de bain et la douche sont très bien. Il manque cependant un four ou un micro-ondes. Difficile de faire chauffer quelque chose. Le responsable répond à nos demandes par texto. Le séjour a été très agréable et on recommande l’emplacement sans hésitation.

Sweet small town

Have never stayed in a town with 200 residents (winter). What a delight! And the apartment was perfect …. Cozy, warm and with all the amenities needed. Would definitely come back!

Quaint village and apartment!

We had a fabulous stay and Castelnuovo del abate! The property was better than expected; check in and communication excellent: close to Montalcino with it's castle and many vineyards! Be sure to visit Casisano-Tommasi vineyard in Montalcino!
