「Mainly stayed for Keswick Convention. Walkable distance from Base Camp and Main Tent at Skiddaw Street.
It's quiet and near a scenic view from a river nearby. The lawn of the Hotel brings rabbits and relaxing atmosphere to guests.
Friendly staff and great self-served breakfast. A good balance of price and service.
Will definitely visit again.」

「We had a fantastic time at the Royal Oak. All of the staff were really nice and looked after us. We stayed in Room 15 which is on the top floor and is nice and cozy, very clean and had aircon. The complimentry tea, coffe and water was good quality along with the bathroom products which were also available at the shop in the main square. Breakfast was 10/10 in terms oif quality (locally sourced) and choice. 」

「Basic room but we had a balcony overlooking the river. We had a private room with our own bathroom. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Can't beat the location for the price. 」

「Really enjoyed our brief stay. Many positives. The lovely lady on the front desk made us feel very welcome. The breakfast in the morning at no extra cost surpassed our expectations. The location and the cleanliness of the room. We would definitely stay again. 」
