“The cottage we stayed in was very nice and loads of space . An ideal location for trail running and long dog walks Threlkeld and keswick were not far away. Loved the doggy treats that were left out. Our only complaint would be that the tv in the lounge had no freeview channels . Had to mirror with my phone. The log burner was lovely and comforting. The ash tray was not emptied by the last guest . Also the welcome package in the kitchen. All the biscuits were well out of date . Otherwise……

“The Cottage was ideally located for lots of adventures and had a very homely feel. The Cottage has the benefit of off road parking and because there are really good amenities in Braithwaite together with the fabulous walks from the door ranging from a Wainwright to a gentle stroll around the village we didn't use the car. We particularly enjoyed the walk up Barrow and Outerside with our dog Toby. I'm sure we will be staying again.”

“We were all in all very happy with the flat. It is very cozy and mostly well taken care off. It is located right between the center and the lake, but was not noisy at all. Unfortunately, the oven was not working in the beginning, but someone came to fix it right away, when we informed about it. The kitchen has everything one needs. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that we were provided with only one set of keys.”

“We are an active 70+ couple who have visited the Lakes for 30+ years. On arrival the keysafe proved too difficult to open and after 30 mins of fruitless attempts a call to the office for assistance in gaining access was necessary. The issue was resolved quickly in a most friendly manner. Once inside a couple of minor maintenance issues were identified (these things happen) but again, these were soon resolved. “Byways is a really lovely, cosy, well-equipped cottage in an excellent location just a few minutes' walk from Keswick Town centre. It's also close - and this is especially great if you take a dog with you - to a really nice park by the river. We unfortunately had to cut our stay short because of illness (mine), but we're very happy indeed in this excellent cottage. It was dressed nicely for Christmas (we were there the week before) and the gas 'woodburner' had us feeling extremely cosy indeed.”

“Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater.
