"Really enjoyed our stay. Staff vey helpful, especially on reception. Our rooms were very clean and spacious, with comfy beds and views over the river. Very centrally located hotel with parking. "

"Room was clean and refurbished but let down by the bathroom The toilet was badly located and toiletries insufficient ( particularly as there was nowhere to shower in spa) due to no changing rooms being available Parts of the hotel have been refurbished and are lovely although often just superficial but the other parts are very tired and and unloved. Spa - the areas which were available were very good and clean but again doors were lacking in cleanliness and if you look closer corners are missed and left unclean Breakfast - was ok choice was fair but coffee was extremely poor. All staff who we interacted with were very pleasant and friendly - particularly Michelle on reception and the lady in spa at 4.30 Overall wonderful location - mainly clean and friendly staff I appreciate there is a lot of refurbishment happening with the spa and infinity pool - but it does appear that other areas are in decline."

"We go away a lot and this is the nicest hotel with the nicest staff we’ve ever stayed at. Cleanliness was spot on and the hotel food is amazing. Special mention to Sid who works at the pub bar who goes out of his way to chat to guests and makes you feel very welcome promoting a relaxing stay. We were pleasantly surprised with the prices of food and drinks. Hot tub worked well, clearly well maintained and keeps its temperature. Don’t hesitate to spend the money to stay here."

"Breakfast was ok but when items ran out they were slow to be replaced, never enough croissants always ran out."

"Fabulous upgrade to a newly decorated suite, thanks! Beautiful space and going to try and book to go again with my husband. Didn’t get time to use the facilities this time but there’s a charge to use unless you book direct. The allocation for the evening meal on the HB package is £35. You can pay extra if you so wish. We happened to be seated next to the grill area so got chatting with the cook there. I had the most amazing steak - perfectly seasoned with a sauce. He also advised on the type/size of steak options. Based on what we saw my friend had a burger. It was lush and my steak was certainly the nicest in a long time. Chips came with a herb on which detracted from the flavour and we both left a lot. Ordinary fries or plain chips would have been better. Great breakfast next day and decent sized beakers to get a drink from of machine. Lush hot choc! Two guys were on their phones at different tables discussing work matters close to me which detracts from a relaxing brekky. I was almost going to move as it went on maybe ten mins. Hospitality nationally needs to consider signs asking people to consider the impact of such calls on other diners. Selfish! The chap two tables up said he didn’t want something going in the press but he talked about it. Despite this, it’s my third stay at this hotel and can recommend. Easy for M6 proximity and half way stage for my friend and I to meet. We usually book a separate room too so we can sleep well which I did with hotels. Com. "

"Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requirements. Parking is a little tight, but very do able. Breakfast was outstanding. Beautiful smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Plenty of cereals. Fruits. Nuts yogurt etc. The room was beautifully clean and well kept. All staff are so friendly and accommodating, so they all deserve a special mention. We definitely recommend this hotel "

"When we arrived the reception staff was so lovely. We were travelling with my 10 month old son and they were so kind and attentive to him. It was so appreciated. The room was great, nice big bed and a cot for my baby. I like that the shower was separate from the bath too. I used the spa. Sauna and steam room are great and the changing rooms were clean and well equipped "
