This home in Custer was perfect for us exploring the area. It had all the comforts home and was clean and cozy. We enjoyed being able to walk to town for meals when desired, especially after we'd done so much driving.
This property is fantastic! Great location, extremely clean and has everything you need for a getaway. Stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and cozy environment. The welcome guide was so thoughtful and gave great recommendations in the area. We would definitely stay again!
Adam’s house was perfect! It was very cute, super clean, and in a great location. We easily walked to restaurants and shops. It was perfect for our family of 4 while visiting the Black Hills!
The online pictures are very accurate and the home is literally just a block or two from the main hub of shops and restaurants. Recommend eateries were spot on; especially the breakfast and pie/dessert places. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Very convenient, comfortable, clean and relaxing for our group of 6. This was a 5 star experience. Hopefully we will be back and refer our family and friends.
Great location. Easy walks to restaurants and shopping. House was clean and big! Welcome packet the owner provided before arrival was super nice and very helpful. I would recommend this to everyone!
This home was perfect in so many ways. It is in the heart of Custer City but very private. The house sits on the upside of the street on an elevator that allows you to keep the window shades open and enjoy the outside deck with total privacy. We had everything we needed for a week. The amenities are well maintained and great quality. We look forward to staying here again soon.
Everything went smoothly with our stay at this home. Check-in was quick and easy. Check-out was done with minimal effort, which got us on the road home earlier than expected. We were able to walk to several restaurants and the shops in the center of Custer.
The bedrooms were perfect and the beds were comfortable. Despite the temperature almost reaching 100 degrees, the house was comfortable.
Would like to stay there again when we go back to the Black Hills.
Our family of five very much enjoyed our fall getaway to Custer. The cabin was exactly as pictured. It is cute up north cabin theme. It was extremely clean and everything was neat and in working order. Host was responsive, informative and lovely to connect with. Pride and love for the community and property was evident. We loved being able to easily walk to great meals - even in the off season. Totally recommend visiting in the fall. It was quiet and beautiful. Thanks for a great trip and many family memories.
Everything was great for what we needed! House was clean and instructions were very clearly layed out. There is a park close by which was great for our kids! Communication was great as we had some issues with the door code to get in. Response was quick and issue remedied immediately! We will be back!
Green Door Cottage is cozy, charmingly decorated, comfortable and well equipped. It has all you need for cooking. The living room was a comfortable gathering space for the 4 of us. We used the electric fireplace for the ambience and for a little bit of heat on the chilly mornings. There is a large TV with ROKU (which we did not use). The hosts are friendly and very responsive.
The location is PERFECT for walking to dinner and shops in Custer and day tripping to Mt. Rushmore, and Custer State Park. I highly recommend driving the Wildlife Loop, Needles Highway, and the Iron Mountain Road (start from the south near the Custer State Park visitor center for a great distance view of the presidents). We enjoyed the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs, an active paleontological dig site. Sauce and Dough pizza was very good and Skogen Kitchen was excellent (needs reservations).
Don't hesitate to book Green Door Cottage!
Cute little cottage. Great location. Centrally Located. Supplies were sufficient as indicated. Note to future guests- it is a pretty hilly area, so be prepared for that. Steps up into the cottage so could be an issue if knee problems. Could have been a little cleaner. Wet runner just thrown out on back deck. Kitchen and bath floors sticky. Kitchen was very disorganized with lots of mis-match stuff. The downstairs "bar area" was beyond sketchy! It is just a dark basement, but the cash register was cool. LIGHTS/REMOTE - I did text the owner and let him know that there were 10 lightbulbs burned out and none of the remotes worked. We did replace 6 necessary light bulbs and batteries in one of the remotes. With a deep clean and some organization, I would stay again.
We enjoyed our whole stay. The town is very charming. The house is perfectly set up. We did not need anything while we were here and just enjoyed our time here in Custer.
This was the perfect cottage for a very enjoyable stay in Custer. The owners go above and beyond to make sure everything you need is at your fingertips.
House was just as advertised, was clean, and was perfect for our stay (4 adults, 2 kids). Great location as it was in walking distance to center of town, very close to Custer state park, and mt Rushmore. Would definitely stay here again.
Great house very close to most sights in the Black Hills
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very well located near downtown Custer, very clean, nicely decorated, and with everything we needed for our stay. The host has great attention to details and even included toiletries such as toothbrushes in the bathrooms.
