"I was disappointed with the Lotus. The room was mostly clean but the furniture is extremely worn. The mattress was iffy. Slept on top with another blanket and bought my own pillow. The jacuzzi was out of service ( worn down looking ) the pool was not "heated" enough to go in. The view of the ocean was beautiful and beach access was nice. So we made the best of it. The staff was nice enough. And I will say the shower and bathroom were clean. Thank God! Will try another spot next time in Daytona. "

"The actual rooms are clean. Bathroom in desperate need of upkeep. Shower door frame has a lot of crud/scum/dirt. Dead roach beside toilet. Live roach crawling on bathroom door. Bathroom door disgusting- filthy, nasty hand prints all over each side of the door."

"We normally LOVE coming to Hammock Beach and have been many times before. This trip unfortunately felt like they've gone down hill recently. From the tv remotes being held together by black tape to the staff not really being the friendliest. I would say 2 out of 10 people actually seemed happy to work there. The others felt like it was bothersome to have to speak to people. We experienced pretty unhappy wait staff and managers and no one really had that service with a smile that they used to. The front desk check in staff were great and the manager Frank was a sweetheart but otherwise we definitely missed the WOW factor that it used to have. "
