The Compass was amazing! You never have to leave, i rented a car, and never Used it. They have restaurant, poolside bar and grill. Rooftop bar and grill. Lots of different entertainment. The Hotel is beautiful and very clean.

The music played in common area is very loud. Hard to even have a conversation at the bar. It is also played loudly in breakfast area. Breakfast was OK. One up from what we get at Hampton Inn. Closeness of beach was not what it looked like in pictures. Our room was located right in the middle of the hotel, and we had a balcony which was great.

Compass Hotel has so much potential. It’s located just steps from an amazing beach, and the facility is newly built (less than a year old). Unfortunately, it’s clearly poorly managed—and housekeeping was the most disappointing part of our stay. Our room and shower floors were never swept or cleaned, even though they weren’t clean when we checked in. We requested service and were told it would be taken care of, but it never was. On the second day, I asked for fresh towels and trash removal and was told housekeeping only does that on the third day of a stay. Meanwhile, I saw staff cleaning another room down the hall daily. We also received conflicting information depending on who we spoke to, which made it frustrating to get basic needs met. I eventually had to call the front desk just to request fresh towels and even toilet paper. The room itself also felt poorly thought out. There was only one towel hook in the bathroom and nowhere to hang wet swimsuits or towels—surprising for a beach hotel with a pool. I truly loved the location and the beach town, but the property left a lot to be desired. I hope management addresses these issues, because I would like to return in the future if improvements are made.

Great experience outside of the female bartender that worked Thursday around 5 Wasn’t rude just seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Waited for drinks repeatedly and bar only had around 5 people at it. Bar back seemed more interested in being there.

Das Hotel ist modern, sauber, hell und wirklich zu empfehlen. Die Rezeption freundlich, einzig und allein das Frühstück hat unseren Eindruck sehr getrübt. Es war leider so gut wie alles leer und die Station sah nicht appetitlich aus. Auf Nachfrage nach Besteck und Toast eine Stunde vor Ende der Frühstückszeit wurde uns wirklich sehr unfreundlich geantwortet, dass wir doch sehen würden, dass viel los ist. Es waren drei Servicekräfte da und keine Unmengen von Menschen. Schade der Aufenthalt hätte wirklich perfekt sein können.

Room was clean (though housekeeping only changeds our towles once in three days and never did any other housecleaning). Music in the bar areas is ridiculous - disco and transe, super loud, Jimmy Buffett would not be proud. EV charger spaces (about 6-8 of them) all filled up with non-EV people parking in them. Hotel makes no effort at all (no signs, nothing) to discourage parking in the EV charging spaces. Breakfast serving area is too cramped - disgusting to think how many people are standing over the food when the serving area is busy.

The facility was great, beautiful and clean. The walk to beach wasn’t bad, just didn’t like that there was bathroom close, so if your 50 plus you have to walk back to hotel. The breakfast was superb, nice variety.

Most of the employees were rude,there were a few really nice ones,Joe,Gemma and I didn’t get the other ladies name but she was housekeeping staff,all the front desk staff were rude,the female bartender that was working Wednesday March 19th had a 💩attitude,she had 3 customers at the bar and made us wait 15 minutes to order our way overpriced pasta that we all got sick after eating it,it took 40 minutes after we ordered to get 2 orders of pasta.We liked that it was close to the beach and everything was in walking distance.I feel like the water in the lobby could be filled more often as it was always empty or when it was full there were no cups.Breakfast was just ok,the restaurant definitely wasn’t worth the money and the fact that there were so many drunk people running around,this location is NOT family friendly like the Compass Hotel in Pigeon Forge.Also there were so many loud dogs on our floor it was very annoying hearing barking dogs.And don’t ask for a late checkout as you will be greeted with an attitude from the front desk,I don’t know the ladies name I’m sure she wasn’t a mgr but she was working March 19th she had a💩attitude also,myself and my kids had to rush to get out by 11:00am after being sick all night from the hotel’s restaurant food.Also when I booked this hotel4months ago there was a glitch&1of my kids got left off,I tried for 3 weeks to straighten it out&the rude ass staff kept refusing to help me,so I had2rebook&pay$500more&nooceanviewroom
