"Outstanding value for money — genuinely hard to beat in KL. I stayed in a Genius Suite which was enormous, beautifully furnished with a four-poster bed, chaise longue, and a gorgeous arched window. The bedding deserves special mention: proper feather pillows and Egyptian cotton that made for the best night’s sleep of my trip. It’s those details that separate a true five-star experience from the rest. The Majestic has real character. In a city where many upscale hotels feel like interchangeable corporate properties, this one stands apart with its colonial heritage and distinctive atmosphere. It feels worthy of the Autograph Collection branding — individual, considered, and with a genuine sense of place. The smokehouse bar alone is worth a visit even if you’re not staying. Staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming throughout. Everything felt well-run without being overly formal. The only slight caveat is location. While centrally placed on paper, it doesn’t quite have the walkability of areas like Mont Kiara or Bukit Bintang — you’ll likely need a Grab for most outings. That said, if you’re happy with that trade-off, the quality of the room and the price point make this an exceptional choice. For what you’d pay for a basic chain hotel room in London, you’re getting a genuine suite in a landmark property. Highly recommended."

"My real rating is 3.5. Here's why. Rooms - rooms are spacious, great cold a/c, clean and beds were very comfy - I slept well. Facilities are good. Hang out spot, laundry, etc. Service - hit or miss. There were a few male employees that were really nice, but the female staff were cold and not very helpful. The staff that checked me out was nice and let me store my luggage for a few hours in the lockers after check out. Breakfast was pretty bad. A breakfast box they heat up in the microwave, which tasted terrible, and a apple or orange juice. Location is ok in my opinion, very busy streets near the train, but some blocks (especially near McDonalds) didn't really feel safe to me (solo female traveler). One thing that irritated me. I stayed here for 2 nights. Feb 5th and Feb 6th, check out Feb 7th. On the evening of Feb 6 (also my bday), after a long day, and finally falling asleep, I was woken up at 11pm from staff. They banged and rang door bell continuously - they wanted to give me a baggy celebrating my bday. Nice gesture but you couldn't have delivered in the morning or afternoon? Overall ok stay for a quick in and out in Kuala Lumpur. "

"The food got no love. The breakfast buffet quality was disappointing. It was uninspired and bland. But the staff was excellent and the place was beautiful. "

"Breakfast: staff are hardworking, although you can see in their faces that they are quite exhausted. I appreciate all the dining staff for your dedication for this job. Quite a variety of food, it was average; not great! They ran out of roti one time, had to use packaged. Hey, at least, they provided. Pancakes, meh; Jams, Kaya, not good. Omelette station - good! Malaysian food - just ok. Fried rice was bland, Noodles were not great. My favourite were the fresh cut fruits, loaded on those! Guava juice, superb! Lamb dish - super great! Stick to this when you visit. Coffee - meh. Elevators are super busy, some guests are rude. If you want a peaceful breakfast, go before 0800. Pool: a bit cold for us, as it was quite raining & thunderstorms. Although, summer time, this will be a great place to spend your afternoons after a long walk. Rooms: We stayed x 4 nights, our linens were never changed. Pillows are horrible, too soft, overused and flat. Bath towels are clean but not white, over used. Too much dust in our room. If you inspect the windowsills, layer of dusts are present. Not great for those who have allergies. Lemongrass tea: I was always looking forward to have this drink in the afternoon, drank couple of glasses before heading to our room. Concierge/Valet/Doorman: all great, happy smiles. Manager: wish he would get up and help his staff instead of always being seen on the computer. I know you have things to do too. Photos in Expedia: that by the pool. Sauna: nice"
