Enjoy walking and cycling trails from your doorstep including routes along Loch Ericht and into the Cairngorms National Park for wildlife and bird spotting. Closer to home, try fishing in the River Truim, located at the front of the house, or kayaking on one of the local lochs.

A short drive will take you to Newtonmore, home to the Highland Folk Museum, and MacPherson Museum, where you can step back in time and explore traditional Highland life. Aviemore, just 40 minutes away, offers family-friendly activities like the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, and cinema, and is widely known for its wildlife and outdoor pursuits. Skiing and ice skating in the winter months are available locally. There’s a plethora of activities and events going on in the area all year round including the Enchanted Forest, Thunder in the Glen, Whisky Festival, as well as Porridge and Woodcarving Championships.
