"A very pleasant and well located place to stay in Deal.
All of the staff were exceptionally pleasant and very proactive in being of help and assistance.
The food is fresh and well presented and the rooms clean and comfortable.
We would have no hesitation to use the hotel again if and when we return to the the area."
"Thoroughly enjoyable stay-perfect location, immaculate room, good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Some yoghurt with breakfast would have been good."
"We recently attended a nearby wedding and stayed at The Five Bells, an amazing family-run pub and B&B. The family room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with complimentary toiletries that were especially appreciated as we’d forgotten ours at home.
Mary and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lovely place."

"Beautiful place to stay, we attended a wedding and we decided to stay the night with family. Staff were always happy and attentive. Tegan on reception was lovely and helpful. Breakfast was lovely too. Room and amenities were fab and a nice comfy bed."
"Here’s a polished version of your review:
We’ve just returned from a weekend stay here and had such a lovely time. The hotel is beautifully clean, and our room was spacious with everything we needed.
The girl at breakfast (I believe her name was Olivia) was especially wonderful! So friendly and welcoming. She mentioned she had only just started, but you would never have known. She was attentive, confident, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The chef was also fantastic and kindly prepared veggie sausages for us.
We will definitely be back next time we’re in Canterbury. Thank you for such a great stay!"
"We stayed in the smugglers cabin which is on the ground floor and has its own door to enter from the high street. We were emailed our passcode to access the door before arrival so didn’t need to go to the main entrance. The room was a very pleasant surprise a nice spacious living room with microwaves, coffee machine and kettle and fridge and TV. Behind there was tie sleeping area with a comfy large bed. At the back there was a very spacious bathroom with bath and a walk in shower. Nice toiletries provided.
The big plus for us was the air con. It was wonderful our room was lovely and cold and we slept so well!
I highly recommend this place great location too and attentive staff with great communication.
I’ll definitely be back."
"Stayed just one night, the hotel was very busy, but staff helpful and room (family room for 4 people) was clean and very decent. Only downside, no hot water in the shower, so a bit of a rough awakening in the morning."
Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
8/10 Good
"Room was small, but serviceable for 1 night. Close to elevator, but not noisy. Great location. Elevator a bit small and slow especially during checkout when it took a long time to get out. Leave plenty of time for that."
"I was a little worried after reading some of the bad reviews, but overall, we had a good experience. Having read the comments about noise, I specifically requested quiet rooms, preferably on a higher floor, at the rear of the hotel, or away from the gym and lift. The hotel responded very quickly and kindly assigned us rooms 216 and 217. The rooms were nice and clean, and we had no complaints. However, later in the evening, we noticed there were pubs and parking areas directly outside our windows. It was Sunday night, but there were still people drinking outside. Fortunately, we couldn’t hear much from the rooms, although we could hear some voices echoing in the bathroom. The people outside had gone before 1am, and as I usually stay up late, they didn’t disturb my sleep. However, if you are particularly sensitive to noise, I would recommend avoiding these rooms. I think the hotel should also be aware of this when allocating rooms.
Continental breakfast was included in our stay. There wasn’t a huge choice, but my sons ordered the cooked breakfast for an additional £10 each, which looked good. Unfortunately, it took quite a long time to arrive, and we had to rush to our first booked visit. We allowed one hour for breakfast, but that wasn’t enough.
It sounds like I’m complaining but honestly, I’m not! The location was good, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and nothing seriously wrong with our stay. Overall, we were happy with our choice of hotel for visiting Canterbury."
