“This hotel is steeped in history- it is well located in Arundel but it is tired - had a annex room - immediately we walked into the corridor it smelled musty - the art work and the carpets old and tired. Room - clean - not luxurious- functional- furniture old - beds clean and comfortable. There were notices to tell you that should you spill anything on the carpet then expect a £100 fine . Bathroom basic - shower worked ok - black mould around basin taps and basin was stained. Convenient……

“Expedia gives this hotel 3 stars, however the sign outside and other sites give it 2 stars. I would say it’s closer to 2 stars based on the room we stayed in and our overall stay. The decor was dated, the tv didn’t work, the mattress was hard and pillows flat making for an uncomfortable nights sleep. “This hotel is close to the City Centre and has around 5 parking spaces for clients. The staff were very kind and helpful. The property is very old and each room is named after the Cathedral bishops. The room was light and airy with windows that open. We were at the back and there is a public path which was a bit noisy. The rooms are fine but could do with some updating. The breakfast was made to order and hot which cannot be said for more modern hotels in the City.”
