“Wow, where to start? My room was dirty- sticky debris on the floor and on the counter in the bathroom. I didn’t even want to walk in the room with my shoes and off it was so grimy. Sheets smelled clean but looked dirty (e.g. hair, stains). There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke and at one point I could see it wafting in the hallway despite the rooms being non-smoking. When I mentioned something to the manager on duty he told me “not to worry about it”. There are several people using the……

“The manager/owner was very responsive when I asked for a clean bedspread, as the one in our current room had pet hair all over it. I asked for a clean bedspread and he graciously moved us to a new room that was also an upgrade at no additional charge. Once moved, we found the bathroom floor around the tub and toilet very dirty/moldy, toilet not very clean, plunger had toilet paper from last use, no Kleenexes, broken shower surround, anti-slip mat in tub moldy, barely useable/leaking faucet and……

“It’s a great place to stay. We stayed in a very cozy cabin with kids and they had a blast with s’mores and board games! Definitely plan to go back 😊. Only thing we missed was the food as we went Mon-Wed and the restaurant is only open Thu-Sun. But there are plenty of places to eat nearby so this is not a problem . ”

“Really large suite, housed 3 adults and 3 kids with plenty of room. Great location right between everything in town.”

“Cleanliness was questionable, very outdated. Parts of the building were falling down. The room smelled like a lot of chemical cleaners and a horrible pee like smell underneath it all. Luckily I had a balcony room so I kept the door slightly open all night. ”

“ Staff (Peggy) was very friendly and accommodating. Family and I used to come fairly often 25-30 years ago. Nice to see they have the same themed rooms. As always, being right on the ocean front, dealing with sand and TLC for the property is a constant job. I spent four nights there and really enjoyed myself. There was a time a number of years ago when they no longer allowed children. Not sure that is still the case, but would be worthwhile to check. ”
