"Breakfast didn’t start until 9:30 No Bar or food available. Will not be going back. "

"Nice people and good food, but wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately. We took the superior room, but it was right above the main bar and therefore noisy from the pub music and quiz night, there was also quite a bit of road noise. The room was also very cold, the radiators and towel rail did not come on despite us asking at the bar."

"The food was excellent (dinner and breakfast). Lovely garden area to sit out with a drink. Room and bathroom were very clean with plenty of hot water. The only slight negative was that the room was too hot overnight, despite having the window open. A lovely stay. I would definitely return. "

"Room was clean but dated and could do with a refresh. Evening meal was excellent, I had the steak & Malbec pie and it is one of the best pies I have ever eaten. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, there were two of us and one wanted black pudding and one didn’t but neither got any, nor did we get the fried bread, there were only two juices available, orange and apple (I think) but the orange juice ran out and not replenished although there were staff around. You could have tea or coffee by request but only one latte or cappuccino, there were no cereals, fruit or danish etc which you would expect from a hotel chain such as this (Marstons). However the staff, especially at dinner, were absolutely fantastic, always on hand to help and not too overbearing with the usual ‘is your meal ok’ type scenario. They are a credit to the company. The reason for the 3 stars is the room needing updating and the breakfast."
