Little slice of heaven

I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast near the beaches, but Florida beaches by far are the prettiest and this little place snuggled amongst other places to stay is isolated away from the heavy crowds and tourists. Perfect place for relaxation. Definitely want to try to stay here again.

Great for a Family of 6!

We were very pleased with the convenience of the pool right out of the front door, and the ocean out the back door. It made it incredibly easy for our family of six with two of them being under 5. The property had all we needed, and the washer and dryer were a big plus for our stay! We will definitely be back!

Nice first floor condo

Pretty nice condo on first floor. Just needs a little plumbing work done in master bathroom. Shower and toilet. Great view Nice living room with large tv and kitchen has all you need.

Crystal Villas

The location was magnificent! The Management company was very responsive to anything we needed. The property itself needs some sprucing up -carpet, bathroom grout, paint etc. The building has very thin walls. so be prepared to hear your neighbors.

Much needed Vacay!

My husband haven’t been on beach trip in years. This was perfect place for us! Enjoyed our trip tremendously! Only complaint was Crystal Villas charging us for beach chairs for 4 days when we only utilized them for 2 days. The chairs are set out from 9am-5pm. Check-in 4pm/ check-out 10am. Also claiming a chair setup, it’s first come first serve basis- not reserved to your condo. Crystal Villas, need to rethink this mandatory charge regardless if peak or off season.

You’re paying for the view. The place itself is out of date. The dryer doesn’t dry clothes and there were quit a bit of cockroaches.

The unit was a little outdated and the stove was leaning back towards the wall and the bottom part of the stove door was falling off. All in all being that close to the beach made everything else not important.

I can stay here forever...

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. The kitchen was FULLY equipped, the rooms/bathrooms were clean, the beach access was WONDERFUL, there was ample parking space, etc. For the price and location, I thought this place was a great deal. RealJoy also provided some offers, such as 1 free adult admission to a dolphin cruise (which we used and it was awesome). I did notice the sewage smell from the bathroom that others mentioned, but I only smelled it during certain hours in the daytime and even then I barely noticed it unless I was in the bathroom. I hope to book here again in the future!

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time and absolutely love the location. We will definitely be back to this location. Our only complaint was that beds not being comfortable at all. Everything else was absolutely perfect but my 17 year old slept on the couch and my 15 year old made a bed on the floor. My husband’s had multiple back surgeries so he didn’t sleep well in the master bed. Everything was perfect except for the mattresses were horribly uncomfortable. The location was perfect for beach lovers. The kitchen was perfect for cooking small meals in. We spent and evening at the pool right outside the door and it was a nice evening. We absolutely loved our trip just wish we could have slept better while on vacation.

Just ok in a pinch

This condo really needs to be updated and deep cleaned. The smell when you walk in is pure musty/damp and never got any better during our stay. The sink in the hallway bathroom was a very low stream. The shower is gross, long black hair in the floor. The master bed was comfy. We booked only a few weeks before our stay, so the choices were few. We actually left a day early due to just not being comfortable. You definitely get what you pay for in this unit. We’ve been coming to Destin for many years, and we typically stay at Crystal Sands.

Too expensive

This place needs major updates. Fridge and dyer sorta worked. Beds in hall way are only kid sized not for adults. No mat to wipe off your feet form the beach. Yucky and very little patio furniture on patio. Kitchen has very little to offer with very outdated appliance. Bathroom and kitchen is dirty and very old. Location is the only plus. But really wish they would invest in updating this place.

Great location! But property needs work

The Good: Great location on first floor and steps to the beach. 2 min walk to Henderson resort and 3 min drive to all the shops and food of East Destin. Check in and communication with host was fantastic and quick. The Bad: Condo is very outdated and was very below any standard for cleanliness…especially if customers are paying such a premium for a “cleaning fee”. We found hair and used soap bars in shower, hair in our bedding, dirty floors that were very musty, and moldy bread and food in the cabinet that had the Florida insects indulging themselves. Verdict: Great location for the price…but there’s a reason it’s on the cheaper side. If they updated and ensured cleanliness we would stay again.

Great location but unit needs updating!

It’s a decent property but needs updating. The walk out door to the beach doesn’t lock there is a piece of wood provided to lay in the track to keep door locked. The front door when the wind is blowing makes a bad vibration noise due to weatherstripping around door split. Carpet threw out condo the furniture is well worn and showing age. But other than that nice location and easy access to everything. Will stay at the condo again but not this room.

Super frustrated about no wifi and lack of response and solution from RealJoy Vacations

Super disappointed that we didn’t have wifi service almost the whole time we were there. We contacted them on multiple occasions with the response of “have you tried unplugging the router and replugging it in, “ Then try to connect to the unit next door, then we will make this a priority and respond first thing the next day and then nothing. Our phones didn’t have good service so we were counting on wifi to use while on our trip. If you had told us there would be no wifi we wouldn’t have booked here.

Location is amazing, condo not so much

We’ve stayed at the Crystal Villas at least 10 times over the years and this condo was one of the worst. The location is amazing!! Ground floor, you can walk right out into the beach, pool is great but this condo needs MAJOR updates & maintenance. The door handle to one of the bathrooms was broken off, we couldn’t get the dish washer to latch shut and once we did and started the cycle it started to leak onto the floor, the dryer was not vented outside of the bathroom so every time we dried a load the bathroom was covered in lent, TV’s, etc were extremely dated... we also only had one towel for each of our 5 guests in the room, no extras. I know you don’t go to the beach for the room you’re staying in but a little update and maintenance would have made it a bit nicer...especially when a mom just wants to relax and not had wash dishes all week 😊

Crystal Villas A2 - don’t waste your time/money!

We were so excited to be able to walk right out of the condo onto the beach,when we got there and walked in the place was so musty smelling. After doing a walk through and noticing how filthy the couch was and carpet we seen how dirty the cushions were at the dining table, when we picked up a cushion to look at the other side there was bugs crawling around. I took a video and sent it to the property manager and they sent out maintenance to look but determine that it wasn’t uninhabitable so they wouldn’t refund us our money or even put us in a new rental. We were very disappointment in the lack of help with the situation because there was no way we were staying in a place with bugs so we ended up having to get a motel and cut our trip short which really upset the kids they were excited to be on the beach and spend a lot of time there.
