Wonderful cottage
A beautiful cottage and lovely peaceful location. The welcoming gifts were much appreciated. A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Underfloor heating was great, and the wood burner in the evenings made it so cosy. Thank you Gabrielle. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gabrielle's wonderful cottage. What a perfect place to enjoy a storm and look out at the blowing trees. The description of the cottage doesn't adequately express just how much thought and care have been taken to create such a wonderful retreat. Cozy, comfortable, extra touches, a warming sauna and an incredibly comfortable bed. We consider our stay to be a highlight of our three week vacation. Beyond Expectations
This property exceeded all of our expectations. The house is impeccably decorated to a high standard and style. Looks like an example from a decorating magazine. It’s an incredibly cozy cottage with wonderful views of sheep and hills out the back. Close to many local attractions. Gabrielle was very responsive, and nice touches like milk in the refrigerator and snacks upon arrival were greatly appreciated. I have stayed at many rental properties, and this one sits at the top. I highly recommend it

A Preeminent Property and Best Vacation Ever!!!!!
This is a fabulous property. We enjoyed an entire month here and fell absolutely in love with the location, the people, and the sites that are within a reasonable distance from the cottage. A walk out the front door can either take you along the firth on one side and sheep on the other, or along the firth to a lovely wood, the trail in the woods leads to the nearest village. The cottage itself exceeded all expectations. Modern fixtures and features were notable throughout the dwelling. A very comfortable place to relax in or return to after a day of adventure. The well-equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking in when desired. On cool evenings, building a fire in the woodstove offered great comfort and coziness. The big claw foot tub and little two-person sauna just topped off the comfort of this wonderful cottage. And, the cottage is beautifully decorated as well. The hostess, Gabrielle, is over the top competent in making sure our stay enjoyable. We unreservedly give this property and the hostess the highest of recommendation.

Perfect cottage
Gem Cottage was the perfect place for our first stay in this area. Cottage is comfortable and well-equipped and the views from it are lovely. Lots of good walks all around and easy access to a range of places to visit such as Dornoch, Cawdor Castle and the pottery at Tain. Can highly recommend.

Relaxing break in amazing cottage.
The cottage is exactly as it seems on the website. Truly luxurious. Loved the Highland Soap Co. toiletries. Very cosy and lots of walks by the firth right on the doorstep.

Fantastic vacation, surrounded by wonderful scenery. Great walks along Cromarty Firth and Blackrock woods Evanton to wander. A real gem of a cottage. Thanks to Gabrielle and the little touches that made the stay more enjoyable.

Peaceful cottage
This is a beautiful cottage in a quiet location on the Cromarty Firth. Homely luxury. Fluffy white towels and dressing gowns, lovely toiletries, underfloor heating, beautiful bathrooms, well fitted kitchen, comfy bed. We used this as a base for golf and walks is and it didn’t disappoint. Would love to visit again.

Great Find!
We very much enjoyed our stay at "Gem Cottage" It's a great location for discovering and day trips to the highlands. Everything you need is provided for. Thanks Gabrielle for cake and biscuits- which my husband devoured. I stuck to the chilled bottle provided which was a treat!! Comfy large bed. Will visit again when/if in this area.

A wonderful stay in Evanton
We had a super time at Gem Cottage. The property was as beautiful as the photos, amazingly clean throughout with lovely quality bed linen and towels. The gorgeous Highland toiletries a welcome addition to the luxurious bathrooms. We had several local days outs, with a walk up to the local Fyrish Monument being a favourite on a cold clear morning - amazing views for miles around. I would highly recommend staying here , with lots nearby to see and do. Our family can’t wait to return.

Perfect holiday getway!
Gabrielles Gem Cottage is so aptly named. It’s the perfect little gem to bunker down for the holidays and that is exactly what my husband and I did. Of course the luxury amenities such as heated floors and the sauna ( not to mention a claw foot tub!) but Gabrielle's added touches of holiday cheer made us feel most welcome! Can not recommend enough and do hope to be able to stay again!!

Felt Like Home
Truly a gem, no doubt about it. Everything was as advertised and then some. We really enjoyed the peace, quiet, and picturesque surroundings. Our host, Gabrielle, was extraordinarily helpful providing us with additional suggestions beyond what’s already provided for local, nearby, and day-long excursions to incredible sites and history. Also, going above and beyond by providing a sample of some locally ground coffee, drinks, and other treats really made us feel welcome and at home. Thank you, Gabrielle! Lovely cottage
This cottage is a real gem. You can immediately see the accurateness with which the house is arranged. Every room is well-equipped - especially the kitchen and the bathrooms. The cottage can be found at a quiet place near the sea however the position is very suitable to undertake trips at the area around. We felt very comfortable and would highly recommened this place.
