「It was the best location within old town. Just next to Pile gate by opposite the fountain. We did not need to lug our Baggage too far. Victor was so nice and he let us in early at 10:30am so we could join some 11:00am tours. Nice new spacious rooms with a good size bathroom. Great shower with plenty of hot water. No noise issues at all I would highly recommend this to anyone. We had daily breakfast just outside Pile gate for about 25euro per person.」

Would have liked a heads up that the parking was tight, not allowing us to take our rental car freely with being block.in. The 295 stair walk up.and down from the property was doable, but daunting, for many. Unfortunately the lovely kitchen had no coffee or tea or filters despite having a coffee pot. 「The property is very nice, with a lovely court yard and excellent location for Dubrovnik as long as you can manage 80 steep steps from Stradun. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. A few negatives was the kitchen area was a bit dirty, with mugs left in the dish washer and floors could do with a clean. The air conditioning was working properly on the top floor so it was very warm no fan was provided.

「A fabulous small hotel right in the centre of Dubrovnik just off the main street. Very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean. We didn't use any of the facilities in the hotel as we went out as we were so close to dozens of restaurants. One point to note is that as this is a protected building in a UNESCO World Heritage site there is no lift.」

「We booked a room with balcony and stayed for 2-night.
The room has a very comfy design and is maintained in good condition. Everyday they arrange room clean-up.
The Scalini Palace is located in an excellent location, very close to the Main Street, taking us just a few steps to Stradun. It’s esp convenient if you want to take nice photos of old town in very early morning.
No lift, same as many other hotels/apartments in the old town, so you have to walk upstairs to the floor you stay....
