“it is in the old town center and just next to the main attractive points like cathedral. as it is a building over 500 years old, so no lift but wooden stairs only (but this is the reason i stay here). Shared toilet and bathroom is good (and you can enjoy the cathedral view when you are "relaxing"). ”

“The best place to stay in Canterbury with breathtaking views of the Cathedral. The hotel is a nice place, very clean and a delicious breakfast. On the downsize the rooms are very small, mostly the Queen bed compared to American standard. The staff is helpfull but don't seem very profesional. Looks like they are on a learning capacity. ”

“The woman I spoke to was kind enough to let me check in several hours early, and I was upgraded to an absolutely GORGEOUS room and full bathroom including large bath and separate bidet. The location was fantastic; close to the middle of town and the local beach, quick walk (though very steep) to the castle, in between walks to the white cliffs in either direction. She also let me leave my bags late while I explored more before leaving for the cruise port. All in all, one of the most beautiful……

“In over 30 years of travelling on business, this is one of the best places I have stayed in.Although I did not meet the owners it was clear that the accommodation was well looked after and virtually everything had been thought of for the comfort of their guests. Virtually everything was absolutely spotlessly clean.The only small point I noticed was that there was dirt around the toilet seat hinge - a bit of a dirt trap and difficult to access(I'm sounding like a "Four in a Bed" contestant……

“I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.”

“A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. ”

“Property is large and well decorated. Garden is fenced and has patio, table and chairs. Shower was lovely and hot and in a modern bathroom. Kitchen is large and has most items but couldn't find oven gloves and microwave is ancient. Wine and jam was nice offering but no tea, coffee or milk available which was not great as nearest shop is 4 miles away! Bedrooms are well presented although main bed was small and makes alot of noise as springs in base and matress. Couldn't find hairdryer.……
