“Great property right on the beach that we’ve been coming to off/on for the last 10 years. Love the location & the proximity to local restaurants. Our only issue was with housekeeping. I understand that it’s done every other day or as needed, but for the price point it should be maintained regularly. We had an ocean front room & during our stay it was not cleaned during regular hours. Housekeeping didn’t come to our room till 330 pm right when we were getting ready to relax from being at the……

“Located near the Wright Memorial and convenient to lots of food options. The beach was great. The staff was so kind and helpful. There were 2 pools and plenty of stuff to do on the grounds. The breakfast was good but they ran out of food each day, so go early. Would definitely stay here again.”

“I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. Unlike most beach motels, parking was NEVER an issue! We always had a spot close to the room. The room……

“They were misleading about the ocean view. I thought I’d have a wonderful view but instead looked directly into a dune. If I looked up and over there was some water. I called to ask if I could be moved to à higher floor. The gentleman replied that Hilton certified it as an ocean view so have a nice day. And there were no other rooms available. Thought I’d watch tv then, but the living room tv did not work. Disappointing stay”

“We stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely and perfect. This year was different. It is still nice and clean but not the same. They remodeled everything and not in a good way. It just seems like they don’t really care now. The hot tub was not working and very dirty. The staff is great but very few staff. It’s just not worth the money now.”

“Good location and nice rooms. Bed was comfortable. Beach is walkable and if prepared it is a short walk to a few restaurants. Check in is with a remote kiosk which is interesting but works. Breakfast is very basic.”
