「Patrick couldn’t have been more helpful in anticipation of our visit. The house is very well equipped, beds comfortable and spotless, showers lovely and hot. The bus service is minutes away direct to the city and plenty shops/bakeries nearby for provisions. The only mark-down is on the ‘child-friendly’ question which Patrick answers in the description of the property so on your own head be it! The stairs not suitable for stair gates would be the only issue with smallies - otherwise a great...

「Absolutely lovely cottage, even more space than expected and with lots of thoughtful touches to add to our stay. We had a car and found it quick and easy to drive to the park-n-ride to catch the train, or to drive directly into the city. The area around the cottage is beautiful and very nice for a short walk. Thank you for the warm welcome, and we will 100% book this cottage again for future trips!」

「Amazing location in the border areas of Scotland, lovely home, fully equipped with everything you would ever need, and more. Extremely roomy, good wifi, a welcome cake and Shortbread, the grounds are really nice, even has a table and chairs to sit under the trees in, only 10 minutes drive from Berwick, loved it.」

「This apartment was as advertised; spacious and well located in a suburb of Edinburgh. The hosts are generally busy with a b&b in the main part of the building, but were helpful when we needed it and interesting to talk to. And they have a couple of lovely dogs on the property. 」

「We cannot fault it! It felt like home away from home. Great communication, the kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal. The beds are comfortable and the heating system was great making our sleep great even though we had -1 degree at outside overnight.
The cottage is a 3 minutes stroll from Melrose Square where you’ll find cafes, restaurants and shops and about 10 from Melrose Abbey.
We’d definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Melrose 」
