「Our stay was okay overall, but there were a couple of serious issues that really impacted our experience. A major concern was the pool. It looked absolutely disgusting, yet there were no signs, barriers, or any communication indicating that it was closed. We almost let our three young kids get in before deciding to trust our instincts because the water looked so bad. Later, we found out the pool had actually been closed the whole time. A simple sign or notice would have prevented the confusion...

「We loved staying at his hotel, it's in a lovely location at the side of the Animas River, people are beautiful, the food at the restaurant was very good same as my Martinis, the ladies at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, the parking lot in front of you, the only thing is that they missed to clean a room one of the days, but that we can live with. But we didn't miss the warm delicious cookies at the evening.」

「Beautiful historic hotel central to downtown Durango. Easy walking to all the shops and restaurants in the area, as well as the Durango Train. You’ll feel like you stepped back into the 19th century. Definitely worth the visit if you are looking for an authentic old west experience. The bathroom could stand an update, but it was kept very clean and met our expectations for an older historic hotel.」

「We have stayed here twice. Highly recommend this property. Oksana who helped us check in both of our stays made the experience perfect. She is super friendly, makes you feel at home and is very helpful with recommendations for dinner as well as making us a reservation. Parking is easy and close. The checkout lady was also pleasant and helpful making us fresh coffee early in the morning to get us on the road.」

「The room seemed clean, but stunk so bad we had to shop downtown for room freshener. Even that didn't help. We think it was the nasty carpet, but seemed to smell even more when air conditioning came on. There also was a weird second connecting room door?? Thank goodness the downtown location is great. We didn't spend much time in the room.」
