Beautiful Cabin

We absolutely loved this cabin! The location was close enough to Purgatory, but still secluded in the beautiful forest. The cabin itself is extremely updated and luxurious!

Beautiful property, great location

Easy to find and is in a great location for all sorts of activities in the area. Quiet area with abundant wildflowers and a pond. It was a perfect location for our small family wedding.

We had the best time on our trip. The hosts are very helpful with clear instructions. The house has extremely comfy beds and stocked with just about everything you need.

Awsome property

This was one of the best homes we rented ever on vacation. Great location, beautiful and spacious home. Property owner was also great and gave us great suggestions for hikes within walking distance from home for swimming, waterfalls and great views. Only regret is we did not stay longer.

Purgatory Ski Trip

The house is amazing and in an awesome location just north of Purgatory Ski Resort. The home backs up to the beautiful national forest. There are numerous hiking trails nearby and Cascade Canyon waterfall hike is a must! The drive in and out can be tricky if you do not have a 4 wheel drive or snow chains during the winter. Overall we loved it and would definitely consider staying here again if we come back to Purgatory!

Family Getaway

This property was perfect for our group of two families. It sits in a great location at a high elevation between Durango and Silverton. The house is tucked away amongst Aspen trees, and wildlife frequents the property. The hot tub adds a relaxing touch after a day of jeeping or hiking. The house was clean and spacious.

Beautiful property

Beautiful location tucked into the trees… very private. Our family of 7 had a great time here with plenty of room for everyone. There was good communication with the host. The property felt very clean. If you’re booking this property in the winter, definitely take serious having the appropriate vehicle. While we were there 3 cars got stuck on the road in front and had to be towed out and there hadn’t been any fresh snow in weeks. Great place to stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Anniversary Vacation

Spent our 36th Anniversary in a lovely cabin surrounded by beautiful mountains. The mountain get a way was the perfect place. I would highly recommend a visit.

Excellent get away house in the mountains

The house was absolutely amazing and is in great location to so many outdoor activities. We loved sitting on the decks enjoying the outdoors while watching the hummingbirds. So many great hikes nearby!

Awesome place with lots of privacy.

Very wonderful house to stay for a family or couple. The house is just off the highway and has excellent privacy as you barely can see any neighbors through the woods. House is in excellent shape with plenty of kitchen stuff. Bedding was excellent and we really loved staying here and seeing the fall colors. Highly recommend this house.

50th Birthday Trip - Amazing Property

Our first experience with a VRBO rental and it could not have been any more amazing. The house is beautiful. The property itself makes the house even better. Views for days. Perfect mountain getaway

I couldn't be happier with the host or the property. The listing was 99% accurate and the host was amazing. I say 99% accurate because the host surprised us with a hot tub which wasn't originally listed, however, they had been planning to install and it was done prior to our arrival. Our group was driving in from AZ, other parts of CO, CA, TN, TX and WA so coordinating everything was inherently difficult but Kaleb and Kelley went above and beyond to accommodate any of our needs and even some last minute changes. The location was perfect for what our group wanted which was a spacious property hidden back in the woods with only a neighbor or two around but still conveniently close to creature comfort amenities. The property itself is gorgeous nestled back into the mountainside with a small pond just down the hill from the driveway. We were please to find ample room for parking as we brought 4x SUVs, 1x single axle trailer, and a full size sedan and extra room in the garage to store our gear overnight. This place is everything and more than we could have asked for and we will absolutely be booking again.

Mountain Getaway is exactly the right description! We had a special event to celebrate and this setting was perfect for our very small gathering. It suited the needs of our stay just perfectly ! Word to the wise - don’t use more than one shower at once. The hot water runs out fast!

Perfect spot for our family

We couldn’t be happier with the house. Everything about our stay was just about perfect. I think my favorite aspect was our ability to walk out our front door and hike up to potato lake. Short drive to purgatory ski resort for summer fun. Not too far to Durango or Silverton. My son summitef two mountains, and we all hiked a whole bunch. Again, great place, very comfortable, and just a great family experience for all of us!
