“Our stay on Craig Creek was wonderful! The weather was incredibly windy so we couldn't do much on the creek and lost power due to the insane winds Saturday but it was so lovely to be outside and exploring the area right around the cabin. Mitch reported the outage for us and called us when the power was restored to ensure everything was ok. The porch bedroom was amazing as well! It was so nice to wake up with the creek and mountain view directly in front of you and we could see the stars at……

“The property is beautiful and peaceful. The log cabin built by the owner is gorgeous and equipped with the essentials needed. I would love to stay here again for a longer period of time.”

“A very peaceful and beautiful getaway. Very secluded property with a lovely view of the river. Ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The house is well-stocked, very clean, and really cozy. The host is very thoughtful and even offered to drive me to various hiking spots. There is a very nice trail very close to the house if you don't feel like driving around a lot. I would plan to get groceries before arriving since the grocery store is a bit of a drive. Highly recommend!!”

“We had a comfortable 3 night stay at your River retreat en route to Ohio for the solar eclipse. The weather was unfortunately very cold which restricted our outdoor activities. The cabin was cozy and clean with a very comfortable bed. The only thing missing was a toaster! Thank you.”

“Loved the location, privacy, and quiet surroundings. Everything was great, and the water was just like any other Sulphur water. It has a smell, but it works! Plus, there was a full bottle of water in the water cooler when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting down by the water and watching the ducks float by. We communicated both with Evolve, and with the local contact, and everyone was helpful and quick to reply. Would not hesitate to stay again!”

“This was our third stay at the cabin, and our third season to experience there. We have visited in the Summer, Fall and Spring and each time has been fantastic! I can't begin to express how exceptional the hosts are when we come to stay. The little touches that make this the perfect vacation show how much they care about their guests. If I could give an even higher rating, I would! We will definitely continue to be returning guests!!”

“We stayed at the cabin so that we could travel to the Greenbrier and they definitely almost stole the show! Grey views, very private, and well maintained. We were very excited to see snacks and coffee pods available but didn't get a chance to use the s'mores because of the weather but what a nice touch. The only downside is getting there but it's a mountain cabin so we expected the drive to be a little rough so don't let that deture you! It's well worth going and we plan on staying again!”

“Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area.”

“This was just what we needed. It was nice to unplug for a few days and just enjoy our family with no distractions. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We made s’mores on the fire and cooked steaks on the grill. There is a lot of things to do within a short distance.”

“Great little rustic cabin with an exceptional view. Stayed here with family and our two dogs, and we all had a wonderful time. The cabin had everything we needed. We sat on the front porch in the morning and watched the river roll by, and played board games in the evening in the screened pavilion. We saw deer and turkeys passing thru the yard. We spent one day walking the Chessie Trail, which winds you thru cow fields - we loved seeing the new calves romping around. Everything was perfect - we……

“We had a lovely stay at the “Writer’s Cabin!” It is small but so cozy and perfect for two. We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out.”

“Pros: Very quiet, comfortable beds, pretty views and sounds from the creek, hospitable and helpful host - con: slight sulfur smell from the water at times (which was disclosed and harmless), but it didn’t last and we didn’t find it bothersome. All in all, this was a well equipped and nicely located cabin which I would recommend.”

“A great spot to just take a breathe! The house has everything you need and the view is wonderful. Gwen is a wonderful communicator and one can tell she takes pride in the property. The o my thing I would add to the space would be a little outdoor dining table! It is difficult to want to come I side when there is all of that beauty on the back porch.”

“This is a wonderful rustic yet clean and comfortable cabin very close to town. We enjoyed fishing in the river (bring river shoes) and watching wildlife from the porch. Cell service is spotty until you can connect to WiFi so be sure to save check in and wifi code info or you’ll have to drive back in town.”

“A group of retired couples stayed at River's Bend for New Year's weekend. We never left the place and had a fantastic time. Kitchen was well stocked, game room offered ping pong and pool, hiking right from property. The owner even took the trouble of getting 3 kayaks out of winter storage so that we could kayak on an unusually warm New Year's eve day! She was fantastic :)”

“This cabin is lovely, cozy and very well appointed. The back deck and early spring views of the Maury river were beautiful and relaxing too. Great location close to Lexington but still felt like a real escape. Our host was accessible, friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back!”

“This was the perfect family getaway. Mitch and Bobbie thought of everything! Their home is lovely, and Serenity is the perfect word to describe our experience. There is plenty to do. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer. We would love to return during the summer months to enjoy more water activities. Thank you, Mitch and Bobbie!”
