“The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a shared bathroom for the floor, which was fine for us since only one other room was occupied. (I don’t know how that goes when the inn is full.) We did not take advantage of any of the other common areas (living room w/TV, sitting room). The entire house is beautifully decorated in the Victorian style, with lots of furniture, busy wallpaper, and decorative items on the shelves, dressers and side tables. It looked great, but I was afraid……

“Owner does not live onsite. Not 5 star clean but livable. Need to vacuum UNDER the bed and top of the four-poster bed had thick cobwebs wrapped around it. No flexibility for breakfast times or an offer of anything to grab and go. Room could have used a box of tissues and a full-length mirror. Two rooms have a fairly steep set of stairs to access them. ”

“My mom and I had a small weekend getaway in Limerick, Maine. The reason for our trip, was to attend a maple syrup weekend event at Hilltop Boilers and hike on Sawyer Mountain. After doing research for a hotel stay, we decided to stay at The Jeremiah Mason Bed and Breakfast. I want to say that our stay was the highlight of the trip! The minute we walked in, Valerie treated us like we were family. She explained all the features of the inn, and asked us what we wanted for breakfast and if we had……

“Cath and Scott were fantastic hosts. This was a true bed and breakfast stay. We had a good room and even better food. They were very pleasant and accommodating. We would absolutely stay with them again just for the cooking alone. The bananas foster and homemade bagels were the best!”

“The owners, Carol and Denis, were just fabulous! So courteous and accommodating. They welcomed us in like we were family and not guests. The location was clean and quiet and warm in a cozy way. I loved the 24/7 access to coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, the gorgeous antiques, and the hominess. Even the house itself invited you in! And the breakfast? Fantastic!! So fresh and delicious and huge! I was stuffed every morning! The only issue was the parking was a bear trying to get in and out of safely.……

“This is an ideal location for a fun getaway for any season. Plenty of room for a large/extended family. While there is a road between the house and lake it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Pro tip, in cooler seasons turn on the ceiling fans to push the warmer air down. Otherwise the main room will feel cold. The dock is slightly off level and a couple doors don’t latch completely but those are just signs of a well loved camp.”
