「Overall not a bad experience but could have been better. Location is great. Bathrooms are shared but mostly clean. Single room (#15) is very tiny and dark but does the job if you only need a place to sleep. Very close to the bathroom though so it can be annoying at times when people slam the door, the exhausting fan constantly going is not very pleasant either. Two other issues: I left the sign to have the room cleared 2 days in a row and no one showed up. I was in the office all day so couldn’t...

The amenities were amazing, very clean, and the staff were beyond lovely. The vibe here is wonderful. I felt very safe as a solo traveller also. Was also great to be able to store my bags for the day after checking out so I could enjoy Darlinghurst without lugging a big suitcase around. 」

「An affordable hotel in Sydney, which I think is one of the most expensive city in the world, but it is not located far away, metro station is just in a walking distance, about 15 minutes you can travel to every attractions in the city centre. The hotel is located in a quite area in King Cross, the small balcony is very relax for having breakfast in the morning. Downside is the property is a bit old and dirty, but it is within the accepted level.」

「I stayed here with my family ten years ago, and I am back solo traveling. This hotel is like a family-owned hotel, no fancy decor and even no lift, but the owner was very nice. He chatted with me and was kind enough to carry my suitcase up the stairs for me. He even offered me a room for three people only for myself. The only thing I would complain about is the transportation, but there is a train station and a bus stop only less than five minutes away. I would stay here again.」

「Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. Thoroughly recommend.」
