「Incredible stay at Basalt Retreat! We enjoyed a cozy and luxurious evening the beautiful vineyard, made even more lovely by the complimentary bottle of prosecco and warm hot cocoa. The space itself is gorgeous and so well appointed—from the fascinating books to the gorgeously-scented bath products. Breakfast was delicious: an exquisite croissant loaf with butter and fig jam, plus yogurt and muesli, all made by local purveyors. If you have time, make sure to get lunch at the lovely restaurant....

「Good spot on the river and lovely to sit by the fire. Not within walking distance of town. We would stay again if we came with the dog. Super clean, cosy and comfortable. Some basics left for breakfast for which we were grateful. The only downfall was the poor communication and then having to deal with stayz phone line but I understand life happens too.」

「After watching the ABC segment filmed a long time ago, it is a credit to the owners to see how lovely and relaxing the accommodation is now.The Blacksmith’s Cottage is perfect for a couple. We bought cheese and wine with us as we’d read the reviews and knew a full kitchen wasn’t included. A microwave, crockery and tea/coffee making supplies were so it was perfect. The donkeys on the property were very friendly and we managed to see the Highland cattle later in the evening. Overall a great...

「We had a wonderful stay! The place was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The host-Leasha was welcoming and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. Leasha made our stay truly unforgettable! She even took us for a ride at the back of her truck to enjoy the sunset—it was such a simple but magical moment, feeling the breeze and watching the sky change colors. Every little experience with her felt personal, thoughtful, and full of joy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an...
